My Name is Earl 1/19

Darnell as the office supply guy.

HA!!!

Catalina was looking especially…special this week.

Funny Episode. The Stinky mouth seemed like a homage to MallRats and Jason’s character in it.

Pinky Toe in the hot dog and Crabman’s reaction was priceless.

The Cigarette as the 5th candle was a good way to start.

I loved the running joke with Earl’s friend handing in all the other’s typing test.
The last one with “it appears you just type every curse word you know”
“I have some deep seated anger Issues”

(reminded me of the celebrity Jeopardies on SNL)

The friggin funniest thing is the inside joke.

Winki Dinki Dog comes from Hollywood shuffle.
One of the workers there was Tiny played by Ludie Washington who happened to play the manager of the local Winki dinki Dog.

I was hoping John Witherspoon would be the owner of the company.
"want a Winki Dinkiu Ho Cake?

“That’s like taking chicken wings out of Syracuse.”
“Don’t you mean Buffalo?”
“No, I’m pretty sure it’s chicken.”

IMO this is the best episode yet. I feel the same about the Office – tonight was especially good. Maybe I’m just in a good mood tonight (can’t think of why though).

I agree with What Exit about the Stinky lips being an homage to Brody in Mallrats, but the funniest part to that is the parting shot, where Ralph is eating the hot dog and Earl says, “You’re it stinky lips!”

What was Joy doing to her pantyhose, when “The Gang” was walking in for the last job.

And now I feel the need to see Hollywood Shuffle. I hate being left out on jokes.

nice episode… not the best. I did crack my ass up at Darnell (I prefer to call him Crabman) pushing the supply cart ala the Office commercial… that was good.

I like Earls friend… the “yeah you can melt ART” guy from Friends and I think Cheers. He cracks me up… but I dont think he belongs in the group.

I gotta ask… Any fans of this show ever see the move “Lone Star State of Mind”? It is this show only in a MOVIE format… one of my favorites… LOL main Charicter is named EARL… my favorite line… “DAMNIT EARL, those boots cost more then my damn PINKY FINGER!!” LOL reminded me of this episode.

I know I’m weird, but I thought the best line was when Ralph said, “Wanna get a lapdance at Club Chubby?” A strip club named Club Chubby! Well, it made me laugh anyway – gotta love a hard-on joke.

Anyone else notice the coincidence of the severed toe in the hot dog, and the Wendy’s finger-chili couple, who happened to get sentenced today?

This is a better link that doesn’t require registration. And it was yesterday that they were sentenced. Duh.

That’s Giovanni Ribisi. He played a medic in Saving Private Ryan.

I didn’t care for this episode too much. I know Earl was a petty thief, but using the “gang” to rob a jewelry store, steal and burn down a person’s livelihood, and steal expensive office equipment just seemed a bit over the top. And I think it hit a bit too close too home, considering the Wendy’s finger case. (Plus, did they have to show the toe? Ewwwww…)

I wonder who was watching Dodge and Earl Jr while Darnell and Joy were sleeping in the copy room?

“They’re pencils, but they look like pens!”

Yes, and he’s always very good.

I agree a little bit - the toe thing was a little over the top, especially considering the couple was just sentenced yesterday or the day before. And it seems rather dishonest - will Earl get in trouble with karma, or since he didn’t really have anything to do with it (it was all Ralph and Joy and Darnell), will karma give him a pass on this one, since the Hot Dog Guy got his cart back?

I’m pretty sure the jewelry store robbery was “before karma.” They didn’t show a date from years ago like they usually do, but it was showing The Gang as they used to be. The jewelry switch and accidental tripping of the alarm was pretty clever, considering the people in The Gang.
I loved Darnell with his mailcart.

I loved how the master plan, after rather cleverly getting the entire gang access to the office, was apparently to run off with $10,000 worth of office supplies.

That’s it. $10,000 worth of mechanical pencils, staples, and rubber bands. Yeah, Earl’s a criminal mastermind. It’s fortunate that he’s on karma’s side now.

But…they look like pens!!

By the way, Judging from Joy’s reaction I get the feeling the cheque was not “Exactly 10 000” Joy would never have turned over that money so easily unless there was more she could pocket. Don’t worry, Karma will take that away too.

Good episode.

Let us pause to appreciate that last week they established that Earl can do fucked up shit to re-establish the karmic balance. That gives the show a LOT more leeway.

That looked so funny when Randy was standing in front of that pie chart.

Funniest bit of the night was Ralph saying that his counterfeiter friend would pay them $10,000 in 20 dollar bills for the copy machine, and no one catching the possible problems with that.

In evolution his character is possibly even dumber than Randy. But in the crucial scene he knows that Zinc Pyrite is available in Head & Shoulders Shampoo, Ducovny’s character goes on a little rant of “How did you know that, you don’t know anything”

Seeing him with the Pie charts did remind me of that for some reason.

Sure, but what really sells the gag is that Joy (the ultimate evil) does the scam without telling Darnell and the kids about it.

She is so evil…

And Catalina did look great - but she’ll have a hard time ever topping her dancing in the Wedding Episode.

  • Catalina looked REALLY good when they were walking to work in slow motion (the classic “caper” moment)!

  • Anyone else remember Giovanni Ribisi as a regular on “My Two Dads”? He cracks me up in this show.

  • Funniest moment- Joy doesn’t tell Darnell and the kids. Her look was classic.

  • Was Darnell always part of the gang? He didn’t seem to like crime in an earlier episode.

  • Earl’s “homosexual friend from the copy center, Kenny.”

  • Randy asleep during the chase.

  • That jug of pee was there too.
