My new novel is out! (Urban fantasy, #1 in the series)

Which one did you buy? The only one that should be available for Kobo is the first one (Stone and a Hard Place), so if you picked up #2 or #3 from there, please let me know.

In any case, thanks for the purchase and I hope you enjoy it whenever you get to it.

For those who might be interested, all three of my current novels are available for 99 cents each for the Black Friday - Cyber Monday weekend. Book 4 comes out in December, so if you might want to catch up, this is a good time!

A couple of announcements about my series:

  1. Book 4, THE SOURCE, is available for preorder at Amazon. If you’ve read the others (especially books 2 and 3), this one is the conclusion of a trilogy within the series. The story is self contained, but reading the first two is recommended for maximum enjoyment. The first two in the series have received several five-star reviews and have both been awarded Awesome Indies’ Seal of Excellence.

  2. I’ve had a full redesign done on my website at rlkingwriting.com, and I’m taking signups for my new mailing list. Everyone who signs up gets two free books: #1 in the series (Stone and a Hard Place), and an exclusive novella available only to subscribers. If you thought you might like to give the series a try, this is a great way to go.

Thanks for checking them out!

If anybody’s following the series, a few developments:

  1. Book 5, CORE OF STONE, is out now (I forgot to post it here, but it came out in March)

  2. Amazon willing, the audiobook for Book 1 should be out within the next couple weeks.

  3. Book 6 is due out in mid to late June (depending on when the audiobook hits).

Update:

Book 6 is out! (Amazon now, coming within a few days to iBooks, Kobo, and Barnes & Noble)

Audiobook is out!

Congrats, and best of luck!

Reading #6 now (Blood & Stone)

Still loving the books, keep it up

Wrapping up the 4th, in between meetings and spending too much time on the Dope…

Nice to see you stopped killing everybody, the first book was kind of scary that way! :stuck_out_tongue:

Haha! Thanks, spanna and Nava! Glad you’re enjoying the books!

Yeah, it doesn’t pay to get too attached to anybody in my books, but I’m pacing myself.

Book 7 is due out in September, btw, and Book 8 in December. I’m working on Book 9.

** breadcrumbs ** to find this thread later

I have been looking for something new to read, and this sounds like exactly what I wanted. Please accept my $3.99.

I’d be delighted to! Thanks, and hope you enjoy it!

Book 8 came out a couple of weeks ago! (BTW, this one is a “prequel” and would make a great jumping-in point to the series for new readers.)

Book 9 is out!

Book 9???!!

Ok then, I just had Amazon send book 1 to my kindle. (it’s against my nature to start a series at book 8, even if it is a prequel).

Haha, thanks! Hope you enjoy it. Book 8 is definitely a standalone. All the rest of them are self-contained novels but it helps if you read them in order. 8 can be read at any point.

Have you made any audiobook versions of your books? Any plans to if you haven’t?

Book 1 is available through Audible.

Book 2 is being worked on now and should be available in the next couple months. The plan is to do them all eventually (if I can afford it!)

Cool, did you make them yourself? If so, is audible pretty good with the profit sharing?

Somehow I missed this. I’m pretty picky about my fantasy, but I’m liking some urban fantasy these days. That, and the reviews by some people I respect and I downloaded book 1 today (lord knows I need a distraction these days!).

Good thing you bumped the thread!
