My post wacked out and is freaking me out!!

I started a thread in cafe society, and clicked ‘Submit New Thread’. Well, as I wait for the page to load I get the glorious “DNS error” page which always pisses me because I could swear that fucking page is SMIRKING at me with it’s sterile white background and black letters with the obligatory red highlighted links.

So, when I FINALLY get back into this site to see if my thread actually got started, I see that it IS there…with NO FRICKING TEXT! Yes, you read correctly. There was no text and although the thread title was there the BODY of the message had disappeared. THEN, I reply to the message with an apology and re-type my OP assuming that my reply will look like a reply and instead my reply becomes the ORIGINAL POST!?

So, I sit here in the Pit baffled and a little frustrated…but otherwise cheerful.

My favorite things is when I go to all the trouble of getting a real book down off a shelf, and looking something up with my own eyes instead of google, and then the post is eaten.

I swear, the more effort I put into finding cites and sources, the more likely it is that the SDMB will eat it.
