As usual, bladder gets me up, doggies keep me up. No big - I get quiet time on the computer.
It didn’t get nearly as cold last night as had been predicted - it was above 50 when I took the beasties out. But the 10 day forecast is definitely fall-like - highs in the 60s, lows in the 40s (or 30s)… I should start a furnace pool - when will I have to turn the heat on?
I need caffeine. And a muffin. I have caffeine. No muffins, tho. Alas.
Well, when you’re traveling on public transportation and use a cane to walk with, yeah, rain presents a problem. Sounds like it’s going to be okay today, though, so my daughter and I will probably make it to the craft store. Huh, the damp weather also affects my arthritis. Ya just can’t win!
Wow - we’ve got a lot of folks on the early crew today!
tarra, if I’m not being too nosy - do you not drive, not like to drive, or not have a car? Or is this your way of reducing your carbon footprint? Gee, that does sound nosy - ignore me as you wish…
I’ve started pricing out this coming saturday’s HUGE menu and now it’s time to make breakfast here in TVLand. Most likely it will be the usual pancakes and sausage.
I’m up, Mr Rebo is at work, and I’m about to take the doggies to the park. Then I’m gonna paint! Yes, you heard right! I’m sick of looking at the blue painter’s tape.
Hubby said should we get some orange tape for Halloween? Or maybe red and green for Xmas? Grr. So time to get off my butt.
Last night’s dinner was a Rachel Ray recipe - chicken and red wine with tarragon. And brownies. Tonight I’m making Shrimp Etoufee. Yum!
Feel better, poor sick mumpers.
The dogs are talking to me. Literally! Arf! I’m off…
:smack: I can be such an idiiot. I forgot about the fact that you use public transportation. I did not know, however, that you used a cane. My apologies.
Well, I’m up, hubby is brewing the coffee, and that’s about it. I would have slept some more, but my poor back was just aching.
I’m feeling rather stiff today as a result of last night’s yoga class - which seems counterintuitive, since yoga is supposed to make you more bendy and stuff, no?
The Boy is working this afternoon, so I think I’ll work on some of the photos and recipes I’ve been meaning to post to my blog and do a little housework (with an emphasis on “little” ) There will be plenty of puttering as well, methinks.
Unfortunately, it’s cold and autumny again, so it looks like the bike will probably be put away for the season. It’s too bad, because it’s so gorgeously sunny outside that I’d love to take her out on the trail one last time.
It’s gettin’ cooler as the day goes on here. A little cold rainy front is movin’ in. Made for a fun morning at a yard sale. I swear, it was cooler when I left at noon than it was at seven a.m. Anywho, I done my duty. I don’t know how much moolah was made yet, but I’m sure I’ll find out tomorrow.
So, lunch is et and I need to get workin’ on dindin for tonight but I think a little nappy poo (the happy poo happened earlier ) is in order.
LOL!! No, that’s not nosy, not really. I’m just a bit embarassed to admit that I don’t have a license so don’t drive or have a car. I’m not sure that I could learn to drive without being overly nervous at this point in my life–especially considering the highly urban area that I live in (within the beltway of DC). You’ve heard of driving defensively? Oh yeah, that would be me, probably hunched over the wheel and scared that someone would run into me. Which is probably one of the worst sorts of drivers to have out there on the road … just beneath drunk drivers! So I take the bus and subway. And as a bonus, it -does- reduce the carbon footprint! (thanks for pointing out that bonus to me, btw :D)
Missed the edit window! Taters, don’t feel badly, please. I use a cane to get around because the arthritis in both knees is so bad that it affects my balance. It does make it hard to maneuver about when it’s raining, though.
We moved most of the rest of the power tools to the garage. We installed the wall cabinets, including 4 in my studio. We have to move a couple of tool cabinets up to the garage, then I can start to rearrange the crap remaining in the studio. No idea when we’ll get to countertops - later today maybe??
It’s a beautiful day - sunny and cool. But believe it or not, the heat came on this morning, so it must have gotten below 64 in the house. Guess it’s fall after all.
**tarra **- I don’t blame you for not wanting to drive around DC. I avoid it as much as I can.
I have now Early Voted. Just in time–my Mountain Friend just called me an hour ago to shove me towards the polls to vote for Obama. Since I already had, we talked for a while about how to get an absentee ballot sent up to Complicated Roommate (he has a job up there right now with the same people he was working for at the beginning of the year).
Speaking of voting, another friend of mine is trying to get people to vote for the animal shelter she works for in a contest to get a $25,000 grant from the Animal Rescue site. Info here if you’re interested. WARNING: “before” pictures of rescued animals. There are also after pictures that are much better.
Speaking of animals, Stormydog is being awfully quiet. I need to see if he’s chewing on something expensive.
