I’ve only been scum my first game, where I did well because no one expected a newbie not to be scummy, and my last game, where I got lynched on Day one. :smack:
I’m hoping to be scum again soon: it seems like the most fun role in the game, and apart from that first game I’ve yet to really do it.
Hmm… It’s been a while since I’ve played, but this game has piqued my interest. You need one more, yeah?
Presuming my participation being clumpy isn’t too big of a deal and, hopefully, there will be some quick trimming of the field, I’m willing to give it a shot.

Oh, how awesome. This takes me back; great to have you playing! I can promise a reasonably quick trimming of the field. 
And now that we have enough people (!), I’d still love to get this up and running on Wednesday, if that works for everyone. Assuming so, MHaye and I will finish tweaking the roles (thanks, MHaye!), and I can rand them all and have everyone’s PMs sent out sometime tomorrow!
That one was actually kind of impressive, in a disastrous sort of way. By the time I finally got lynched, I couldn’t possibly argue against it – I had helped scum so much that it would be almost an insult not to lynch me. :smack:

Well, this game will be interesting, if not for the fact we have a bunch of players from another site. I wonder if the styles of play that our and their group’s used to will clash? If they’re different in any way, that is.
I’ll be watching, so whenever your first too-busy or too-apathetic drops, it will be as if I was there from the start.

It will be interesting. We, as a group, tend to not be very nice at first to players who come from other mafia settings. They almost always get lynched right away, but there are so damn many this time that it will be hard to do that.
I say we just lynch everybody on Day 1.

Wow, this is quite the crew. And, with Blaster Master onboard, this is game has pretty much everyone I’ve ever played mafia with. This will be crazy.

I’m good with starting this clusterfuck tomorrow. IIRC, 37 people is the largest Mafia game this board has seen, so between that and this game’s special twist, “clusterfuck” is all but guaranteed. Please note I’m attempting to be descriptive here and not judgmental. Yet.
Around Christmas, I plan to run one that will be, AT THE LEAST, 100 players.
But way more than that is always welcome.
Most (if not all) of those 100 will be people who have never played a game of mafia in their life before, though. I’ll be holding a contest on another site, you see, and the top prize is something that everyone and their mother wants…the way to win it is easy: Play a game of mafia and you’re put into a raffle to win the prize.
The last time I held a contest like that, I got over 230 entries…so I figured this time I’d use it to create what I’m going to call “Marathon Mafia”.
It’ll have at least 100 players… just about every role in the book, at least 10 Masons, 3 roleblockers, 2 serial killers, 4 investigators, 4 doctors, and a myriad of other things. 
Possibly with every scum being able to have their own NightKill, too.
So yeah, hope to see you in that game, later on down the line. 
Idle, that Marathon game seems to me that it’ll be totally batshit crazy to mod, never mind run. Good luck with it!
IMnshO, it cries out for multiple factions, including Town factions with exclusive win conditions.
If you haven’t already, you should check out the link I provided to the game I’m basing this on. Definitely different styles. Also different terminology – I’m thinking seriously about providing a short glossary when this game starts, so that when Episkey (for example) posts, “I fakepeeked him wolf to provide seer cover, donuts,” people have some idea what he’s talking about.
Also agree with Suburban that I probably won’t require in-thread PM confirmation before the game begins – but if people would like to PM me back to confirm when they’ve received theirs, that wouldn’t be a horrible thing. Will probably send them out sometime this afternoon.
