I want a vacation to somewhere nice and nothing like where I live.
I want one of these and I think about it every day. Not bad for $24,000.
Why, a blimp of course.
Coach guns are great fun, and mine was worth every cent I spent on it. I use it for hunting rabbits and foxes in bushland, and it performs admirably. It’s also a lot of fun to fire. ![]()
As for silly things that I don’t really need but last after anyway?
The two that spring to mind are a Candlestick Telephone for my study, and a Russian Mil-HiND helicopter. I have slightly more chance of obtaining the Candlestick Telephone. ![]()
The Korg Kaossilator

Basically a little synthesiser played on a touchpad instead of a keyboard. Want.
I want a chumby these cuties but they aren’t available in the UK.
There are folks selling them on eBay.co.uk - USA based, but will ship internationally.
Holy inflated pricing, batman! Still, I guess there’s gotta be something in it for the seller…
Think I’ll wait for it to come to the UK legitimately, hopefuly it will be affordable. ![]()
Yeah, I guess I should have checked that before I mentioned their presence on eBay.
I was hoping to be able to suggest picking one up on Amazon.co.jp (The japanese site will ship to the UK, unlike many areas of the USA one). But alas, they don’t have it.
How about this?
Speaking of Coach, I’m lusting after this pink bag.
I want this. Actually, I want almost everything on that site, despite the fact that they’re in-jokes that aren’t funny in the UK, and despite the fact that I wouldn’t actually look good in most of the tshirts.
And a trebuchet for my desk, please.
Well, Rogers just announced that it is coming to Canada. So now I want one.
A Saab Sonnet, of which the only broken one I could find would become a rusty “restoration project” to put in my garage, never do any actual work on except to occasionally remove parts and put them back on, and fantasize about the day when I got it running (which of course would never arrive). All of the neighbors and family would turn away and change the subject in envy (yeah, envy) when I talk endlessly about its coolness and offer to let them sit in it.
I want this dog Native American Indian Dog Breed Information and Pictures
Bento boxes and legos. Those are the two things that are always on my mind that I don’t need/can’t get right now.
I don’t often lust after cars. In fact, I still have my first car, a 1968 Volkswagen Beetle. But when I saw the first episode of “The Sarah Jane Adventures,” I fell instantly in love with Sarah Jane’s little green Nissan Figaro. We wants it. Oh, yes, my preciouss, we wants it.
More kimono. More spring-weight kimono, especially. More yukata. Oh! And hippari (Japanese peasant shirts). I have one and it’s SO comfortable and fun, but they always go for a metric bleepton of money on eBay. sigh And a furisode. I’d never have anywhere to wear it, but I want one.
A real sword. I’ve got a twenty dollar piece of crud that I bought as a prop for RenFaire, but I want a real sword. Or a damascus knife.
Ah, I have one of those. Except mine’s a 1955 DeSoto Firedome. All it needs is engine and transmission work, a rear end, brakes, tires, wheels, exhaust, new wiring, upholstery and a few odds and ends. It was driveable for a while, but everything was on the verge of failure when I put it in the garage. Fun car to parallel park: 4000 pounds, with manual steering and brakes. At least it’s got a hemi!
I am loving this thread. It’s like window-shopping with a huge gaggle of old friends.
The deer head rocks, and I would put it up in my house too. Seriously. I love fish, and I love the silliness of a fishy deer head… as long as it’s not real. <grin>
I really want one of these $775.00 spinning wheels. Maybe some angora bunnies, too.
Also on a fiber-y note, I want one of these, which means I’ll also be wanting another house that I can fit it in.
I love both the dulcimer and the dress in this youtube. I’ve wanted a hammered dulcimer for years and no, I don’t know how to play one.
I long for a double steel drum set too. Never played one in my life.
This is more in my budget, and I might actually own one soon. rolling ball ice cream maker.
And then there’s this shirt, if they print it again:

I wish they had it in blue…
