Name my baby kitty, win a prize...

Mamacat showed up at thier house preggers. Of course they didn’t know she was expecting when they took her in. They joked about her having a “hollow leg” because she at so much food. Inhaled everything put infront of her.

I Know, those baby kitties are all so damn cute. They are so lovey too. I like to pick a bunch of the up at one and give they all hugs and kisses. In that litter there were 2 all black, 1 tortie, 1 white with smokey gray mask and such, 1 white with orange tail and ears, and 1 stripey one  Mama sure must’ve gotten around  hehehe

Oh my, I want the one with orange points. In photo #5 it appears to be wearing a tin-foil hat.
It could just be my monitor, though.

Well, I have to agree with Gollum.

But, with those eyes, you could also call her Sinatra.

Of course, both those names start with letters on your no list.

You could always use our fall back, name her after a Greek or Roman goddess. I like Eris. But in most of the pictures, she looks more sad than crazy.

It is very true that cats have their own names. We had our kitty for 3 days before we came up with her name. One day, I pulled her off the sofa (nails and all). That’s how she got her name - Velcro. 12 years later, it still fits her.

I was once told my a vet that pet names should be 2 syllabyls and end in a vowel.

yes, he is wearing a tin foil hat  :o :stuck_out_tongue:

:::calling husband to find out why kitty has a tin foil hat:::

I liked the tin foil hat pic as well.

This isn’t a clever name like the others, but I like Missey for a pet name. That’s my sweety-pie dog’s name. It works very well for making up cute nicnames.

Congrats on the new kitty. She’s adorable.

We call our crazy cat Grendal and his brother that is always pouncing on him Wolfie, which is short for Beowulf.

My god, she is SO cute! I still have to stand by the name Turtle! She looks so timid… like at any time she could suck her head in to hide! Plus, if she truly does end up being really wild and rambunktious (sp?) it would be funny to call her turtle.

What about Mystic?

What about Franki(e)? I think she should definitely have a unisex sort of name - she looks like she is going to grow up to be a pretty little badass tomboy.

As a geologist, you must name her:

Gabbro (aka Gabby the Tabby)

She definitely looks igneous.

Just came in to drool over the pictures.

Ohhhh wookit da kitties, They is the kyoootest widdle things I just wants to shnuggle their widdle faces to bitses yes I does. Floofy baaaybees.

Okay, I’m done.

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW, baby kitties!

I want the flamepoint (white w/ orange tips). My Seagram looked just like that when she was a kitten. It’s weird in that she has a sis with the grey points, just like this one does.

Your kit looks like a Layla or Tana to me.

BTW, is it an accepted fact that torties are insane? Everyone I’ve ever met has been a bit off, but I didn’t think there was an actual scientific reason behind this, is there?

Since “points” are a recessive trait, this means that the mother was part (let’s just call it siamese for simplicity) siamese and that the father also, was at least part siamese! It’s rare to see a pointed kitten come out of a non-pointed mother.

In any case, if bred to another pointed cat that kitten will breed true, since both chromosomes have the ‘points’ factor.

After studying her pictures, I feel she may have “Francis” inside her, waiting to be revealed. I know that’s not a “T” name and I think Francis with an “i” is the masculine spelling, but that’ what I’m getting. If she’s a Francis, she’s Francis, not Frances. Like I have a kitty named Kahtia. Not Katia, not Katya. It’s Kahtia. It’s very obvious.

Kittens! I love them!

I always thought Paxil was a good name for a kitten or small cat. Its a brand name anti-depressant but for some reason it makes me think of cats (which are also good at curing depression.)

Like I said … “Frankie” … after Francis Albert Sinatra.

There are some great suggestions in this thread.

Alas, I cannot claim credit for Smudge - someone before me suggested it.

Oooops that should have been Eats_Crayons that suggested Smudge :o some days I swear I never learned to read
