Name the new puppy!

We’re getting another puppy on September 11! She was rescued from a high-kill shelter in the South and will soon be boarding the Puppy Freedom Train for New Jersey.

I’ve read the black/white coat is called piebald and “moo moo pit.” I would love to name her “MooCow,” but already had a beloved dog with the name.

She’s 10-weeks-old, Pitbull/AmStaff (maybe mixed with a bit of . . ?)

Pinto or Pinta (the -a version is a throwback to pinto being the Spanish word for piebald; as the dog is a she, in Spanish she’d get the feminine ending)
Mask (evidently)
Huntress (not a reference to her hunting abilities, but to DC’s Huntress, again because of the mask)

Deadpool.

She’s got slightly feathery legs and “armpits,” which I don’t think of as pit, so maybe a little mixed. But she’s cute as a button!

Elsie is another cow-themed name to consider.

Good on you for rescuing, especially right now – my Facebook feed is full of desperate requests from shelters affected by the Louisiana flooding.

Bandit(a)

Those eye patches* are almost mirror-image; dey bootiful.

*Patches is a good name.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat? Those eyes!!!

I don’t have a recommendation for a name. Just “awwww!”

Definitely need a mask/superhero/thief reference, with those eyes. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a dog with such uniform, perfect eyepatches! Ooh, you could also go with a pirate theme!

What organization are you getting her from? I no longer live in NJ, but I got my little old man from Eleventh Hour Rescue, who brought him up from Georgia.

Enjoy the newest member of the family!

Black-eyed Susie

Button, cuz she’s cute as a…

Rocket J. Pupper
Rocky(Racoon) for short.

Squee!

Domino would be a good name for her.

(Full disclosure: I once had a black on white patched cat that I named Domino)

Ooh, I like these names!

In the photos she looks a bit like a (giant) Jack Rusell-y

Harley Quinn
Maggie
Bette (after Davis)

What a babydoll!

Bandit is also cute, but we call our Baxter “Baccy,” so might cause some puppy confusion.

I second domino and Harley Quin

And just wanted to chime in with a heartfelt AWWWWW

Baccy Bowl?

My first thought is Ranger, as in the Lone Ranger. Cute puppy!

The symmetrical eyepatches ARE weird – I haven’t been able to find a matching pic on the Interwebs.

Pirate theme could be very cute!

We are getting her (as we got Baxter four months ago) from WAGS in Pennsylvania; she’s being exported from South Carolina.

Yesterday his name was “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, EWWWWWWWWWW, OMG!!!” when he ate a toad who was out past curfew at 5am.

Oooh, how about Oakley, like the sunglasses?
