Wow, where is everyone? Even Swampy is MIA this morning. I’m up and caffeinating. I have purchased a swimsuit online, hoping that it will fit. I got swim short and tank top, so that way if you have bigger hips or whatever, you can get a size that fits, hopefully. Then I will be able to go to the pool and get some gasp exercise! La, easier said than done, but I won’t have the “I don’t have a bathing suit!” excuse any more.
At any rate, happy Friday all; the weekend is -almost- here. Enjoy!
Managed to finish the Rush Fix yesterday, and apparently it’s good. First weekend in ages where I’m not working. W00t! I even checked my work mail and made sure that there was nothing there!
It’s such a welcome change. I don’t think I got a free weekend all of June… And I was getting worried this one was going to me more of the same. So far, so good.
Happy Firday to all. Fingers are cautiously crossed that the treatment worked this time. Afterwards, I treated myself to a smoothie with strawberries, peaches and yogurt. Spent the afternoon immobile and took an Ambien so I could sleep in the required position. So far so good. I am passing the get-well baton to pie and rosie.
Count me in to the “style” camp, noonie. It RAWKS!
Glad you got the kitteh and puppeh overpopulation problem sorted out, bobbio.
tarra, hope the water damage was minimal.
I am considering a solo trip to the theatre to see UP this afternoon. If it’s still in Imax and I can find a good afternoon time.
rebo, it’s not my RDO, I’m just taking the day off since we have to drive to Oregon for this shindig. I have tons of leave anywy, so it’s not hurting that balance at all.
How’d the bambilance shift go, Bobbio?
I’ll have start packing soon. I’ve got a load of jeans going in the washer, so I’m waiting for them because I plan to wear the pair I’ve got in the machine.
If I don’t get back to the MMP before I leave, hugs and smooches to all.
I’ll be sleeping under my desk if anyone needs me. I’m trying to save my energy for pub night tonight, which promises to be a million times more fun than work ever is.
Only page 3 on Firday?? Sheesh, where’d all our chattiness go?
It was the garbage can that was causing the smell. Dunno why I didn’t smell it when I stuck my nose in yesterday morning. But when I got home, I figured out that the smell only appeared after lifting the garbage can lid. Peeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwww! Glad today’s garbage day.
Our garage door spring broke sometime overnight. Neither one of us heard it, but the door was kaput when KT went out this morning. Fortunately, it was then and not after he’d left but before I left! I never would have gotten the door open myself. So at least our cars are out of the garage. Now we just have to find someone to replace the door. Yippee.
I’ll do my best not to move too close to Bobbio. I’m pretty boring - in all my life, I’ve never been in a moving ambulance, and I do my best to stay out of car wrecks and ERs.
Where do you live, anyway? We’re probably going to wind up in or very near Charlotte.
I’m grumpy at Chrysler. Shadetree mechanics will understand the old joke of how the heater blower motor is the first part of the vehicle to roll down the assembly line and all parts are bolted to it, working outward. Some cars make this seem literally true - my old Taurus required removal of the dashboard to get at the blower. To remove the dash, you first need to remove the center console. To remove the center console, you need to remove the parking brake, and on and on.
Well, on my truck, they didn’t do this. In fact, I’ve never seen a blower so easy to get at. Three screws and one plug, and the motor just drops out from under the glovebox. Sneaky bastards make up for this though. To buy one at the local Kragen will set me back $302.99! I found someone selling them on eBay for $180 - better, but still crazy expensive for a 12-volt motor.
I am at work. I came in yesterday but after about three hours I started hurting and my energy level dropped to next to nothing. Today, though, I feel like I’m on a more even keel. Apparently the whole thing took more out of me than I realized – no pun intended. At least it’s over, though!
**tarra **- I got myself a tankini, too, and I really like it. The bottom has a built-in skirt and the whole thing is very comfy. Of course, it’s way too cool to swim, but still…
**taxi **- you don’t have to replace the whole garage door for a broken spring. Just get the spring replaced. We had to do that - it’s no biggie!
Home early - our new head honcho granted us 59 minutes, so here I am. yay! Gonna make some 'nanner muffins, clean the guest bathroom and tidy the guest bedroom, and get my car unloaded/loaded for the trek to Mom’s tomorrow. I’ll probably run the vacuum, too - doggone Bernie shed all over the place again. eeeesh.
Other than that, just another lovely day here. One more day without turning on the AC - HUZZAH!! And my sweetie and the rest of the fambly will be home tomorrow - double HUZZAH!!! I’m tired of living home alone…
It’s ludicrously quiet here today. Seems like most of the office took the day off… either that, or they all snuck out to grab a beer somewhere right after lunchtime and forgot to let me know. sniff
Just two more hours to go until Beer O’Clock. Tick tock tick tock tick tock.
Howdy Y’all! I didn’t check in this mornin’ and I don’t know why.
gotti I read that as…
and I thought… dang! Now that’s a supermarket!
Kroger is a down south grocery store for those of you that do not know such important things. Though, I think, there may be some Kroger stores elsewhere as well.
Yay for the knee feelin’ better Rosie!
I was all poed at work today but got better when I left. Stoopid people!
Dindin will be steak, sallit and company smashed N.O.T. which I actually got all ready for the oven last night. Go me.
Yays, boos, hugs, trouts, chitlins, noogies, how you doin’s. Distribute as needed.
