levdrakon, I just sent back Pan’s Labyrinth on Friday. I enjoyed it, but it’s not for the weak-of-stomach; there are some fairly gross bits in the fantasy sections, and some brutal scenes involving the little girl’s fascist stepfather interrogating and killing prisoners.
I’ll let you know when I’ve finished it. (I fell asleep an hour into it, not because it was boring but because I was so exhausted I never should have started it.)
