Should that quote not be attributed to Daffy Duck?
I thought it was Bugs who said “What a maroon. What an ultramaroon”. I could be wrong, though.
Daffy frequently used the phrase, “what a maroon!” When they hosted Carnival of the Animals, he insisted upon mispronouncing “Saint Sains!” while Bugs with arched brow replied, “The man’s name is Saint-Saens.”
Bugs is cool. Daffy is a maroo…moron.
It is not uncommon for Bugs to use the word maroon as well.
But does it really matter?
Sometimes it’s best to let lisping duck’s lie.
I stand corrected, although I cannot help but take such sage advice.
