My favorite one is the sponge-mop “Love Stinks - J. Geils” - one.
Making a love-struck, dumped boyfriend out of an inamimate object is pure genius, IMHO.
My least favorite in that genre is the Travel Velocity gnome. Sorry, it may have been the first of that group of ads, but to me, it wasn’t anything except a money-saver. At least the sponge-mop ad has some pathos, funny though it is!
Then there’s the animated pipe that talks to the taillight of the autombile she just destroyed in that French accent (I think it’s French, anyway) with her “husband” commenting as well.
Another in that same group of insurance ads is the pot-hole which offers to call for help with her cell phone, but then realizes she can’t, because (insert southern accent here) “Ahm a pot-hole?”
Of course, they all wear thin after a while, but they’re a far cry from 50 years ago!
I’m sure you too have some which make you laugh? Or some you don’t like at all?
Thanks!
