What if we’re not sure what we’re feeling? Everytime I see yours, manhattan’s, or tubadiva’s name I get weird tingling feelings in my stomach. Then I hear a voice that tells me to build an alter in your names and make offerings. What does it all mean?

I mean, I’m not complaining or nothing. I’m just glad the voices have stopped telling me to rob convenience stores.

All newbies are fun, but some un-newbies are no fun at all.

Piffle. Everything is discussed every year, and the best friends are those who will listen to your story twice soas to retell theirs.

Gotta admit I really have a soft spot for London Calling - we could even be related if you go by CanadianSue’s odious name game thread :smiley: and I like pepperlandgirl’s moniker quite a bit; but I say keep the newbies coming, we don’t want to get stale, do we?!

As a very new newbe (most of you don’t even know me yet)I have to say that I have been treated quite nicely so far. I have looked in the Bar-B-Q Pit (boy it’s hot in there) and even in the pit most of you guys fight pretty fair. I think that the majority of posters on this message board are both intelligent and sincere…and I’m not just saying that to suck up to you all.

I have been reading SDMB for over a day now though, so I’m willing to give most of you at least one more chance to make good…

I’m still a newbie by the 1/1/2000 determinant, and I don’t post enough to have made a dent. However, I wanted to say that I have been enjoying the posts of a newer newbie, Fonz. And welcome to all the other new people who will quickly eclipse my post count :slight_smile:

Well, I’m not really that new. I’m from that obscure AOL Straight Dope crew that’s almost out of existance. I come here every once in a while so I wouldn’t be that upset if people didn’t like me. :^)

Im really very new here also. I have made some posts, but none of them are very interesting, and I’m feeling kind of shy here, mainly for two reasons 1) I can’t spell for my life (~sigh~ i’ve had dyslexia for life) and 2) Everyone here has so many funny, witty and exciting things to say. Oh well, maybe I’ll become a better poster as I go along…
