NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 1)

See, what you’re doing right there is letting facts get in the way of a good narrative.

I mean, “lol thats what they want u 2 think winky winks.”

Re: Rudy farts (from several posts above).

Now I’m wondering if Cov+ people shed virus in farts. I think Rudy should be wearing a mask.

OK, it’s an extensively modified toxoplasma gondii virus.

Is that kind of like how a meme can evolve to be spread by a Catturd?

Clearly it is best to stop the spread of these pathogens when they are still only causing mild inconvenience and before they evolve into something more dangerous. Society is paying the price for ignoring MLB’s 1980s PSA campaign, “Baseball fever: catshit”.

The emergent theme that we’re seeing among the right wing is that there is no such thing as truth. Anything is possible, but truth is ever-elusive, and therefore nothing is truly knowable. There are no facts that can be neutrally, impartially observed and agreed upon. And since rational people can’t agree on what the truth is, what’s left is to create a new order in which truth comes from the people who have the power. Truth is what power says it is. This is exactly how some of the world’s most notorious regimes begin and how liberal democracy ends.

Dang, and I kinda liked liberal democracy.

Jobs report is out and bad. But Moscow Mitch says let them eat cake!

And they accuse liberals of relativism! More projection than a (pre-Covid) 21-screen multiplex at Christmas!

The GOP really has decided to kill as many of us as possible and blame it on Biden and any other scapegoats they can find.

With mass layoffs persisting at an unprecedented clip, coronavirus deaths surging, and hunger on the risenationwide, a group of House Republicans on Thursday attempted to pass a motion to adjourn the chamber in what Democratic lawmakers denounced as an “outrageous” stunt by members of a party that continues to stand in the way of desperately needed economic relief.

I mean, the guy really is a putz.

On the up side, maybe some of them won’t become Old Republicans.

A minor one, but I laughed at the Freudian slip:

“Today’s video was really explosive,” he said, “because it puts the lie to the fact there’s no evidence.”

You can “put the lie to” a claim, or a statement, or an idea–but not a fact. So really it’s just a tacit acknowledgement that there is no evidence.

Up until the last sentence of your post, I assumed you were using “Freudian slip” to refer to the word “explosive”.

Though I guess it was really more of a low toot.

On looking at the article I see it’s about the Magic Suitcase video, rather than about the video of Rudy appearing in a “hearing” with that drunk lady.

The Magic Suitcase would have been pretty Explosive too, given the volume of paper the Trumpites claim it contained…

Eruptile dysfunction

What was it, 89,000 ballots? So 89,000 separate pieces of paper. A ream of paper is 500. You can fit 8 reams in a standard box, so 4000 pieces of paper. The box weighs 20 lbs and its volume is approximately 1800 cubic inches or a bit over a cubic foot. 89,000 pieces of paper would therefore need about 22.5 of those boxes, or 23 cubic feet of space, and they would collectively weigh over 400 lbs.

That’s not a suitcase, that’s a box van.

And what does it weigh?

Uhm. See above? If you were addressing me.

Geez. It sounds like Eyes Wide Shut for COVID people.
