FYI, here is a YouTube clip from The Daily Social Distancing Show of various Republicans stubbornly refusing to call Joe Biden “president-elect”. They still call him “vice-president”. I wonder if they’ll call him president after January 20.
“They call me Mr. Biden!”
In the Texas lawsuit, the plaintiff (Texas) calls Biden “former Vice President Joe Biden,” while the defendants call him “President-Elect Joe Biden.” It’s funny. And sad.
The newly sworn in Republican New Hampshire Speaker of the House just died of Covid-19; no telling how many people he may have infected:
To be fair, when the entire point of the lawsuit is to assert that Donald Trump is the rightful winner, calling Biden by his actual title would at the least raise eyebrows and call the sincerity of the suit into question.
The late New Hampshire speaker may have been an important Republican in his own circle, but sadly for himself and his loved ones, apparently he didn’t rate the life-saving treatment being rationed by the Trump Administration–reserved to its own favorites:
Senator Mike Lee blocked the creation of National Museums on Latinos and on Women.
Latest filing to disenfranchise eighty-one million Americans lists complainants as “Missouri, Arkansas, Lousiana, Mississippi, South Carolina and Utah”.
Sounds like editorial comment to me.
Just a Texas lawyer spelling Louisiana the way he says it.
Ted Cruz announces his intention to block all Biden nominees.
The Speaker of the New Hampshire House of Representatives has died of covid, just a week after having been sworn in. The Republican Governor is outraged at his fellow Republicans for attending the Speaker’s swearing in celebration without wearing masks.
The FBI has filed a warrant for Ken Paxton’s personal records just a few days after he filed the lawsuit to overturn the election. The FBI has been investigating fraud allegations for a while now.
Devin Nunes tests positive for covid.
Following the Supreme Court’s refusal to hear the election lawsuit, Allen West, who is the chairman of the Texas Republican Party, calls for a secession discussion.
But…how’s his cow doing?
He says “law-abiding states” should secede? Is this continuing the theme of the failed lawsuit, with Texas telling other states what to do?
“On the stage tonight at the DHS Holiday Party with @DHS_Wolf and Chief Information Officer (CIO) Karen Evans,” Edgar posted to his followers Thursday night. “I’m so grateful to serve with the 250K dedicated employees of Homeland Security. Merry Christmas!!”
Edgar declined to comment and Evans did not respond to a request for comment.
The event took place in a room at DHS headquarters at the St. Elizabeth’s campus in Southeast D.C.
Chase Jennings, a spokesman for Wolf, declined to say how many people attended the event, whether there was food or alcohol available nor how long the event lasted. He also declined to discuss the fact that Wolf and others were shown not wearing masks while indoors.
…
Leadership. Right.
Of course now he is going to argue that the prosecution is purely in retaliation for his lawsuit. Yes, Biden isn’t president yet and so couldn’t have had anything to with it, but when have the Republicans ever let facts get in the way of an accusation.
I read elsewhere that the party swag was leftover “Be Best” merch. Just to add insult to injury.
They’ll all be following Ivanka’s Directive: https://findsomethingnew.org
Is he TRYING to rise to Gohmert-level stupid?
“Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said Wednesday that President-elect Joe Biden won the state of Georgia because, somehow, Democrat Stacey Abrams tricked Republicans into abetting voter fraud by helping more people legally vote.”
