He’s pitching hard for a Presidential pardon. He’s gotten charge dismissed twice by a friendly judge (Federal) but investigations are still open (interference in an FBI investigation). State charges are building up for fraud, firing whistleblowers, interference in an ongoing investigation of a Republican donor. Just your standard Texas politics.

Two Congresscritters from North Carolina plan to challenge the Electoral College results.
“The right to vote in a free and fair election is the cornerstone of our Republic. Attempts to subvert the Constitutional authority of state legislatures to conduct elections strikes at the very heart of representative government. I choose to stand in the breach, to fight for us,” Cawthorn wrote on Twitter on Monday.
I misread this as

Dunno how it’s done elsewhere, but here in the Soviet of Washington the Legislature doesn’t “conduct elections” — that function is performed at the county level, supervised by the Secretary of State.
Of course, Cawthorn may be suggesting that the Legislatures of the states in question conduct their own (internal) elections, the winner (Dear Leader, natch) being forwarded to Congress on the 6th.

Twitter is talking about the Pence Card. How he’s going to do something during the Congressional electoral vote certification to steal the election.
Not that I believe it will happen, but they’re grasping at straws.
What I saw on Twitter seems to indicate that this is coming from some Maga-bots who have misread a court filing from some state senators (I believe) suing everybody including the House, Senate, PA, and the Electoral College 
and also Pence. They thought he was a plaintiff and this means he’s going to overturn the election when he opens the envelopes.
Dominion Voting Systems has sent letters to several individuals and entities, demanding retraction of false information or else preservation of records in anticipation of lawsuits. The letters were sent to Fox Business’ Lou Dobbs , attorney Lin Wood , Fox News’ Sean Hannity , radio host Rush Limbaugh , Josh Merritt , Joseph Oltmann , Russell Ramsland , Rudy Giuliani , Giuliani witness Mellissa Carone , Newsmax’s Greg Kelly , and Fox’s Maria Bartiromo . The entities include: Fox News, One America News, Newsmax, The Epoch Times, and the Executive Office of the President.
Elizabeth Dole is cc:ed in one of the letters, the Newsmax one.
