NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 1)

If only they will put Kellyanne in a big silver weather balloon and send it flying away, I’ll commit to supporting any such show.

Already, the various Trump threads littered about this Board are winding down and some are even being closed, having served their purpose well. THIS thread, however, will live on for the foreseeable and unforeseeable future.

Is the Russia connection a thing or is it just shiny shiny to liberals? Russia is full of true believer neo-Nazis, right wing conspiracy theorists and and an endless supply of chameleonic grifters too. Are they just smelling blood / money or was Parler set up as some anti-establishment US thing?

Because it would be great for everyone, especially themselves, if liberals could never scream about Russians in the shadows any time again soon.

Then we can properly focus on the real Republican stupid (and evil)

Murdoch decided an Australian would help the Republican cause so he sent Miranda Devine to the US as her gormlessness dwarfed our continent and simply could not be contained there. Does the US really need another cunting Australian’s input?

It turns out that “Perhaps if Dems had not already launched a spiteful partisan impeachment last year, their efforts to highlight the president’s shortcomings would have fallen on fewer deaf ears this time.”

Ah you should not have pointed out bad things in the past, it makes it harder to point out bad things now.

" The Aesop’s fable of “The Boy Who Cried Wolf” comes to mind. Democrats and their media handmaidens have spent four years demonizing Trump, using the most outlandish hyperbole their fevered imaginations could dream up.

So when finally, at the bitter end, when he behaves in a way that angers even his most loyal supporters, there is nowhere left to go in the demonization department."

She used to peddle this kind of shit here and it was kind of funnier because she was equally as unhinged but the stakes were much lower.

Maybe not a “stupid” Republican idea to send her off, but for sure a “stupid Republican idea” in human form.

I’m counting on this thread to get me my daily fix. After all, it doesn’t seem Republican stupidity is going to diminish any time soon.

Indeed not!

In fact we have stupid folks right here, who have misread the title, and think it’s their duty to embody stupid Republican ideas. “you think that’s stupid? Look how stupid I can be!”

Didn’t know where else to put this observation, but I thought Turtle looked very bad yesterday at his gift presentation to Joe. I mean physically bad. After he gave his remarks he walked the six feet or so back over to Elaine and it seemed to take him forever. I’ve seen that kind of walk before and it’s by older people in bad health.

Yeah, he doesn’t look healthy at all, and he’s looked even worse in recent memory.

I’m going to say a prayer, because if he were to shuffle off this mortal coil, Kentucky’s Democratic governor would select his replacement and he’s not required to select a Republican. Just saying.

Mitch suffered from polio as a child, and is still considered disabled.

Would that they’re like passenger pigeons – a seemingly endless supply until suddenly there’s only one left in St. Louis.

Rand Paul and Fox are both outraged that Biden criticized white supremacists, thinking he was aiming it at them. Well, if the shoe fits …

“I resemble that remark!!!”

His deal with the devil required him to deliver the presidency. Failing that, Satan’s part of the bargain comes into play.

I guess we’re going to need a “You Might Be a White Supremacist” thread.

“White Supremacy for Dummies”

Anyone cross reference his visible symptoms with any mysterious deaths of Russian oligarchs or media figures?

I was kind of wondering if “that old guy in the cheap hospital mask” would collapse right at the inauguration. Then I realized it was McConnell.

A couple of times, it took him two or three tries to stand up, kind of rocking towards the front of his chair, not getting enough momentum, then rocking back and trying again.

Elaine, if your husband’s having trouble standing up, shouldn’t you be insisting that he retire and take that nice, relaxing cruise with you? Hint, hint…

He’s knows he’d die shortly after retirement. The “Senating” thing is what keeps him and the other geezers (both parties - Feinstein, Inhofe, etc…) alive. They’ve been there so long they have no other interests - their mind and body would simply fail without the daily injection of “I’m so important/necessary/vital that the US/world/solar system/galaxy/universe would explode if I’m not shouldering the load.”

Same in business, sports, teaching and other areas where folks hang on too long.

Unfortunately for us, he’s the embodiment of hatred, evil, human right suppression, without a shred of empathy for his fellow humans.

Like, “if you change your name from Raphael to Ted, you just might…”

I just looked him up on Wikipedia and he’s younger than I am. How the fuck did that happen?

Don’t know if this belongs here, or it’s been addressed in another thread, but here’s what FORMER SecState Mike Pompeo tweeted this morning, proving that he’s still an asshole:

What is 1384 days supposed to represent? That he is bad at math?

ETA: is that # of days until next election? What does he care; he won’t be running for office nor influencing any election contests.
