NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 1)

It looks like days until the 2024 election. Maybe it’s an appeal to Pubes to quit whining / bitching / lying about the 2020 election and focus on winning the next one.

Make phone threats, go to jail He seems nice…
“We will surround the motherf—ing White House and we will kill any motherf—ing Democrat that steps on the motherf—ing lawn,” Capriotti allegedly said in a voicemail left for a member of Congress from New Jersey.
A federal prosecutor played a portion of the voicemail during Thursday’s hearing. In the recording, the person who left the message also refers to “motherf—ing p----a-- Republicans and these Democrat-f—ing terrorists,” and says “they’re going to have to go see a motherf—ing psychiatrist.” The person says, “Democrats are f—ing terrorists. They’re babykillers, gun-grabbers, God-hating, cop-hating, open borders, fake climate change c—sucking cheaters.”

“Finally, on Dec. 29, Capriotti allegedly left a profane voicemail for the member of Congress from New Jersey. That’s when he allegedly left the threatening comment about Biden, adding that “Democrats are f—ing terrorists.”
At the end of the voicemail, Capriotti allegedly said he’d “like to put one right in” the “f—ing dome” of a former New Jersey governor, who was not named in the complaint.”

“Capriotti was previously charged with harassment by telephone in 2015…”

“Cook County prosecutors also brought charges against Capriotti on five other occasions between 2007 and 2014. He was arrested in southwest suburban Orland Park in 2008 and charged with violating an order of protection. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 75 days in the Cook County Jail, records show.
Two years later, he was charged with domestic battery stemming from another incident in Orland Park. …”

“Four years later, Capriotti was charged with violating an order of protection in south suburban Matteson…”

Marjorie Taylor QAnon claims she has filed impeachment charges against Biden. The Congressional record doesn’t show that she actually has.

Kevin McCarthy says his votes to overturn the election were not votes to overturn the election.
He also contradicted his own claim that Individual 1 was responsible for the riot by saying that “I don’t believe he provoked if you listen to what he said at the rally,”

I’m not a believer in a literal hell. But Rupert (and Lachlan) Murdoch appear to be–and they seem intent on securing for themselves hell’s deepest dungeon.

It’s not as though the new Move Right at FoxNews* could get it for them; they have to impose more stupid on Americans, via this nutty “pundit.”

Also, about the same time, a Ryder Winegar of Amherst NH was using a similar script. Left his name on the voicemails, presumably so that the orange dynasty would be able to reward him properly.

From that Daily Beast article:
"…“Before the election, she was always number one. Then we called Arizona for Biden and everything changed. Bottom feeders like Newsmax and OAN scrambled to accrue our disenfranchised viewers.”

Two things here: First. it’s funny to hear anyone at Faux refer to anyone else as a bottom feeder. Next: They were right about Arizona. Their used-to-be viewers are punishing them for telling the truth.
Republicans, you bottom feeding motherfuckers are something else!

That’s right, and Rupert Murdoch is rushing to accommodate their distaste for truth.

FoxNews is now modeling itself on OAN–all lies, all the time!

OMG. Orly Taitz has filed a lawsuit saying that Trump can’t be impeached because he’s no longer president.

Orly Taitz!

Mike Dunford is taking her to pieces on Twitter.

As you’re probably aware, Donald has been having trouble finding someone to represent him in his Senate impeachment trial.

Could this be the reason that the infamous Orly has resurfaced?

Her hare-brained presence would guarantee good ratings for the trial–and we all know how much Donald cares about ratings!

Setting aside that Ms Taitz is a loon and her lawsuit is no doubt baseless and frivolous, the question of whether or not an ex-Pres can be impeached is still an open one. One that won’t be settled until they actually try it.

It’s a forgone conclusion (to me, at least) that the Senate has to attempt a trial. That way there matter will be finally settled as to whether or not it’s constitutional, and they may get the chance to convict. Win/win!

I can’t imagine a universe where this isn’t thrown out for lack of standing.

Particularly if you flip him over on his back.

Pretty much what Dunford said. She also neglected to state a claim, which I gather is a rather important part of a lawsuit of this nature.

In far, far, better news, Rachel Maddow reported tonight that according to Andrew Weissmann, chief prosecutor on the Mueller team, the pardons Trump issued to Manafort and Stone were so narrowly worded that there are a host of crimes that they admitted to in court as part of their plea deals that they can now be charged and tried for, because the pardons were only for the crimes of which they were convicted.

I laughed out loud at this. Kudos!

I saw this tonight, too. It cheered me immensely. Guys like Manafort and Stone should be locked up for as long as possible. They are menaces to society.

Apparently Marjorie Taylor QAnon can’t file impeachment charges unless she actually acknowledges that Biden is President.

Reminds me of that bit in Clancy’s “Executive Orders” - the guy claiming that Ryan wasn’t the actual President filed suit against an executive action by Ryan, implicitly acknowledging that he was President.

I vaguely remember a member of the military during the Obama administration who refused deployment because he didn’t believe Obama was eligible to be president. Googling, it’s this guy, who was a lieutenant colonel and doctor, but was dismissed from the Army, lost pay and benefits, went to jail for five months (of a six month sentence) and was denied a medical license in Kansas. What a schmuck.

I was curious what he might be up to these days. He’s created an action fund for support.

He sounds like a jerk.
