That’s great! The vaccine makers should put a prominent notice on their vaccines saying: “Notice to Arizona residents pursuant to Arizona State Law xxx: This vaccine does not contain human parts, animal parts, metals in any quantity, tracking devices, nor does it have any DNA-altering properties.”
Just like those insurance and banking disclosures that have a page of legally-mandated disclosures particular to various states.
Montana legislator withdraws a bill she submitted because “her staff fucked it up”. It was a parental rights bill that could have had the effect of granting parental rights to rapists.
I could be wrong about this, but I thought the Bigfoot hunting season thing was a bit tongue-in-cheek. A way to raise money by selling hunting licenses to idiots. The vaccine thing could also be kind of a joke…or not. Sadly, probably not.
Six months after Alaska’s Attorney General stepped down after being accused of sending dick pics (which he claimed were not of his dick) to a colleague, his temporary replacement has stepped down after it was revealed that he had a relationship with a 17 year old girl 30 years ago, when he was 27.
At least, that’s what the article says, though the numbers don’t add up since 30 years ago would have made him 17, The article is mistaken somewhere.
LOL
There is a flood of articles like this. GOP is damaged by Trump and will not recover.
Let me remind you: Trump got the second most amount of votes in history running on a openly fascist platform.
Fascism is not a unviable electoral strategy in the USA. The GOP will do just fine as a fascist party.
Ignore this at your peril.
This could be the stupidest fucking thing I’ve ever heard in my life. It’s a Republican idea, naturally.
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WJW) — Two Ohio representatives are looking to declare June 14 as “President Donald J. Trump Day.”
On Friday, Republican Reps. Jon Cross and Reggie Stoltzfus emailed their House colleagues asking for co-sponsors for their upcoming bill “to celebrate one of the greatest presidents in American history,” the Columbus Dispatch reports.
Are you thinking Juneteenth? That’s the 19th. But they’re Republicans, so racism is in there somewhere, even if it’s the attempt to honor the racist fuck Trump. According to the article, the 14th is the con man’s birthday, and it’s already flag day.
I think you are misreading the article. The woman who contacted news organizations is 47 (17 at the time). It says that Ed Sniffen, the AG, was 27 at the time (and so presumably is 57 now).
Also it wasn’t just that she was 17, it was that she was part of the mock trial competition team he was coaching.
In other news, LeBron James announced that this makes him so ashamed to be from Ohio that he’s rejoining the Cleveland Cavaliers, just so he can quit them again.
(disclaimer: Some or all of the above may be made up)
The list is long of the baseless conspiracy theories that Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has embraced. She’s denied that a plane hit the Pentagon on Sept. 11; supported the idea that the Parkland school shooting was a “false flag” operation meant to usher in tighter gun laws; seemed to agree that Hillary Clinton was recorded “filleting” a child’s face.
Greene has also “liked” social media posts that called for executing “deep state” FBI agents, or that advocated removing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi with “a bullet to the head.” Greene supports QAnon and has said Muslims do not belong in government.
…
Etc., etc.
And those Republicans who are staying silent? If they opened their mouths, Democrats might not like what they hear. “There are also Republicans who want to circle the wagons and defend Rep. Greene, much as they have defended the former president and his denial of the 2020 election results,” [NPR correspondent Ron] Elving said.
…
In the absence of vociferous Republican condemnation in Congress, Greene is doubling down. In a statement Friday, titled “A Message to the Mob,” Greene thumbed her nose at detractors, claiming that the more the “radical, left-wing Democrat mob” and the “Fake News media” try to “take me out,” the more money she raises from supporters.
…
Truly. And so far as the proposed Arizona bill allowing the state legislature to overturn any “improper” vote is concerned, if we can’t vote them out* they’ll have to be removed by other means.
*Yes, the bill only talks about presidential electors. If it passes how long do you suppose it’ll be before the idea is extended to all offices.
