Your last comment touches on a theory I’ve heard today, on why Newsmax decided to spend time attacking Biden’s dog. The suggestion: that the right wants to make sure that if one of their captured pawns happens to hear something from outside the bubble, to the effect that there’s a scandal involving a dog-----they’ll assume the scandal is ‘Champ is dirty’ instead of ‘Ted Cruz left his dog in a below-freezing-cold house, while jetting to Cancun.’
The first story serves the right (however ridiculously badly); the second story does not.
What I find amazing is the Republicans and right-wing media are going after Kamala Harris (saying that they’re going to impeach her for raising bond money for BLM activists), Hunter Biden (for something?) and even Biden’s dog (because it’s ugly?). And yet they really seem to have nothing on Joe Biden himself, even though I’m sure they’ve gone through his life with a fine-toothed comb.
I’ve been wondering exactly the thing. Why aren’t they taking direct potshots at him?
