He’s just taken it down to prep it for his imminent reinstatement (the uninitiated may have heard “August,” but those who have been admitted into the inner sanctum know he really meant “two weeks”).
Either that, or it’s pining for the fjords.

The blog is still there, but it has become an utter pain in the ass to read. Each twit has a headline that says “Statement by [Cheeto-Faced Extra-Terrestrial-Ferret-Wearing ShitGibbon], 45th President of the United States of America” above a button that says “Read More”. Which you have to get to by a sarchasmically-titled link, “News”, at the top of the page. There is no way to scan the blortings, you have to read each one individual(ONE)ly. There is not even a “next” button. It is unbelievably unergonomic.
Congresswoman Nancy Mace is claiming that “antifa” vandalized her house with black spray paint. People are pointing out that she never called the police, the paint was only on places that can be spray cleaned, and the handwriting looks like hers.
Arizona is preparing to use Zyklon B to execute death row prisoners in its newly refurbished gas chamber.
I’m one of those rare liberals that supports the death penalty, but c’mon.
So you are fine with state-sanctioned killing but you object to the method?
Let’s do a little test:
“We are not nazis because we do not use zyclon-b”
Or
“We are not nazis because we do not condone state-sanctioned killing”
Which of these two statements show a working sense of morality and logic?
Not any more.
Upset that it was being mocked for low traffic, Trump ordered his team Tuesday to put the blog out of its misery>

Lovely plummetage.
That’s a non sequitur. Unless you’re an absolute pacifist, are opposed to war including strictly defensive war, and believe it’s never ever appropriate for police to use deadly force even if not doing so would mean their death, then you’re OK with some state-sanctioned killing - it’s simply a matter of degree.
We are not Nazis because we don’t commit genocide.
Was somebody looking for me?
It’s Smapti, you can only compare Republicans to Nazis in his world.
If the last five years haven’t proven to you that the Republican party is a greater threat to American democracy and the survival of the human race than the Nazis ever were, then nothing I can say is going to change your mind.
Wanna show me when in the last five years the Republicans murdered 11+ million people?
Give them time. First they have to have the coup they’re planning.
They’re just warming up.
Yes, climate change is just like Auschwitz how could I not remember that?
No, the QOP version of genocide is much more profitable.
The Republican State Leadership Committee tweeted out “In honor of #PrideMonth this June, we want to thank our LGBTQ+ Republican state leaders for fighting for freedom and equality for all. Your work is not overlooked",
There are no out LGBTQ+ Republican state leaders.
Not any that are OUT and all, but you just know there are a lot of them.
Some have suggested that Trump’s blog may have been built using software that has a 30-day free trial.
I would NOT bet money against that being true.

Surely making a false claim should have SOME consequences for a member of Congress? Loss of committee assignments, at least?
Sidenote: I put “Nancy Mace” into Google Advanced Search, and the top three hits are:
FoxNews prioritizes posting lies to a simply remarkable extent.

Well, it is a comparison. The end goals of the Rs are not significantly different from those of the NSDAP. However, German democracy was rather nascent in the early thirties, whereas American democracy, such as it is, is hoary, well-baked-in.
The biggest difference is that the NAZIs were quite a lot more competent, well-focused and -organized. They achieved much in their short run and were foiled primarily by their leader requiring shoelaces to be tied between their shoes. As noted in this thread, Individual-ONE was so incompetent that he could not work as major national disaster to his favor.
It is not clear whether a well-run R party could attain the levels of power that were seen in Reich III, but there can be little question that they would be delighted to do so and the result would probably be at least as bad.
