NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 1)

They called him a pathological liar as well…

I guess those who know him best called it.

It is sad to watch relatives who are addicted to the glurge from Fox “News” and other extreme-right-wing outlets like talk radio. And I actually watched Fox for a couple of years before realizing what utter shit it was!

Republican candidate for Congress threatens to call a Ukrainian-Russian hit mob on his primary opponent.

So much for “one big tent.”

But that’s the point: You did realize it. My parents haven’t, no matter how bizarre or just plain nuts the talking points get.

They just moved from California to Paul Gosar’s district in Arizona.

I knew my dad was a goner when he warned me I wouldn’t be so cheeky to dismiss Fox “News” when I was wearing a burka. I was gobsmacked. He genuinely believed that the greatest threat to our country in that moment was a takeover by the “Mooslems” and Sharia law.

This was nearly 20 years ago. It hasn’t gotten better.

MTG wants to abolish Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, auction off any weapons they have confiscated, and use the proceeds to pay to the families of dead border patrol agents.

Individual 1 is pissed that Andrew Giuliani is running for Governor of New York, because he is supporting a different candidate.

Wrong link?

Whoops.

They’re pivoting away from “the media made a big deal out of a totally peaceful protest” narrative.

This pivot happened during Tuesday’s house committee hearing

I think the Capitol Police is going to end up being the biggest villain though. They’ve been pissing off Republicans by continuing to talk about their dead and injured officers and saying the insurrection attempt was bad. Plus, there’s a black woman in charge.

Although Chris Wray pissed off a Congressman by refusing to agree that the FBI was a totally corrupt organization dedicated to the persecution of Republicans.

The crux of the new theory is that the Democrats, Capitol Police and possibly the FBI colluded to leave the Capitol unprotected.
It’s the attractive nuisance theory, you know how if you leave your swimming pool unsecured, you might be blamed if a kid jumps in and gets hurt because the pool is an “attractive nuisance”?

I guess if you leave the Capitol insufficiently secured when Republicans are nearby, you are responsible because an unexecuted Mike Pence is an attractive nuisance.

It’s the newest conspiracy theory!

Huh. I thought the only thing he attracted was flies.

#HouseFliesMatter

They’re trying to figure out how to get the mooslims and messicans involved as well. Transportation maybe – driving the MAGAts there and turning them loose at the rally.

Last year on Twitter, crazy Charlie Kirk tried to shame Obama for not making Juneteenth a holiday, and praised Republicans who supported it. Today, he’s whining about how Juneteenth will diminish the importance of July 4th, and criticized Republicans who supported it.

Here’s a link

A Republican being a hypocrite? Huh.

In other news, the Pope is still Catholic, bears still shit in the woods, and water continues to be wet.

I considered starting a thread for examples of Republicans not being hypocrites, but figured it wouldn’t get any replies.

The lawsuit by Devin Nunes against Esquire magazine over a story Esquire wrote about Nunes’s family and their farm in Iowa continues. A federal judge has ordered Nunes’s family to produce documents proving the farm’s employees are legally allowed to work in the US, after “puzzling and troubling” behavior by their lawyer during an attempted deposition of one of their employees.

Would this be some corollary to the Streisand Effect?

Had Nunes not sued, the Vanity Fair story would have disappeared under the weigh of Trumpland insanity.

Tom Cotton says the US should not go to the Olympics in China next year, because China will use the drug testing to gather the super athletes’ DNA to make super soldiers.

In a statement, Abbott said that “funding should not be provided for those who quit their job early, leaving their state with unfinished business and exposing taxpayers to higher costs for an additional legislative session.”

“I therefore object to and disapprove of these appropriations,” the governor said.

House Democratic Caucus Chair Chris Turner of Grand Prairie called the move by Abbott an “abuse of power” and said the caucus “is exploring every option, including immediate legal options, to fight back.”

“Texas has a governor, not a dictator,” Turner said in a statement. “The tyrannical veto of the legislative branch is the latest indication that [Abbott] is simply out of control.”

Nah, Texas has a dictator. That’s pretty clear.
