NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 1)

We were only good people… good citizens with good hearts.

"I can’t be held responsible…
Equality applies to All Race.
I won’t be held responsible…
Don’t give a F-ck about golf’s first place.

For the life of me… I cannot remember
What made me thank that we were wise ( and we’d never compromise )
For the life of me… I cannot believe we’d ever die for these sins.
Our Legislators were only Freshmen…

Yup, another “guy in a bar” level of reasoning from our former CIC,

No thought of what that policy would actually entail, or what the indirect consequences would be, just simple gut level instinct.

A Charlotte city councilman wants to make it a crime to feed or give money to a homeless person unless you’re a charity.
And yes, he’s a Repug.

I used to have a Republican friend who lived in Charlotte. He thought it was hilarious that they built elevated pedestrian walkways between skyscrapers “so they wouldn’t have to look at poor people begging on the streets.”

Republicans: “We think charity should be a private matter for individuals, not a governmental one!”

Also Republicans: “We’ll throw your ass in jail if you give that guy a sandwich!”

I guess they would have thrown Jesus in the pokey for feeding FIVE THOUSAND people without a 501c3.

Now, I’m not a biblical scholar by any means, but I thought that in that story Jesus started with a single c3 and multiplied it into 501c3s.

A. Saw my maganut friend on the bus today. He asked if i had a dime. i said no, and he started digging for one. As I stood up and was getting off at my stop, he said 5g causes this and put the dime on his forehead and stuck it there. Thankfully, I got off quickly so he wouldn’t see me laughing.

Greg Abbott vetoed a bipartisan anti-animal cruelty law because “Texas is no place for this kind of micro-managing and over-criminalization,”

Also among the bills Greg vetoed:

Abbott also vetoed Senate Bill 1109, which would have required middle school and high school students to learn about child abuse preventation, family violence and dating violence. He said in his veto explanation that he opposed the legislation because it doesn’t give parents the option to opt out of instruction.

After all, abusive parents have rights, too.

Next time you see him, if he mentions it, tell him he has it backwards. COVID causes 5G. I mean, have you seen pictures of the virus? That thing is covered with dozens of antennas.

There are a LOT of animal lovers, in Texas as elsewhere, who aren’t particularly tuned in to politics. But Abbott’s tone-deaf excuse for giving the green light to animal abusers may just be enough to get them to register to vote and then let him know what they think.

How wonderful if this loses Greg Abbott his misbegotten political career!

I vote for chaining up Greg Abbott in the sun without water.

Indeed; doing anything about Abbott being chained up in the sun without water would be a simply unacceptable level of micromanagement.

Does Joe Arpaio have any of his tents* and pink undies available? Not to mention his bologna sandwiches — they should be well-aged by now.

* From the accounts I’ve seen, being in those tents was worse that being in the sun.

I wonder if it says something about his mindset that he asked you for a dime first, even though he had one himself.

I just stuck a guitar pick to my forehead. 5G is so powerful that it even magnetizes plastic!

Sticking a coin to your forehead just seems to indicate that your mind has gone mushy.

Maybe Texas could take a page from that North Carolina guy and make it illegal to give him any food or water.

That or Corona virus vaccinations.

I live in Arizona. By 10am I am able to stick anything lightweight anywhere on my body I choose.

I used to watch all the animal cops shows on Animal Planet, and the Texas one (well, the Florida one a bit, too) used to bug the hell out of me. There were such weak animal protection laws that the officers could only leave citations. Even if an animal was in obvious distress. Some animals died. Just awful.

We loved the NYC show. You abuse an animal? They take that animal in a New York second.
