New legislation mandates Florida university faculty and students to be surveyed on beliefs.
Gov. Ron DeSantis suggested that budget cuts could be looming if universities and colleges are found to be “indoctrinating” students.

Students must not be educated! They must not be exposed to any ideas (new or old) that might possibly open their minds or cause them to question anything or (God forbid!) think for themselves! An educated population is a dangerous population. Society must be protected from educated people.
The next step is to make ideas illegal. That’s coming…
Michael Savage: Critical race theory will lead to death camps for white people.
Nah… Obamacare’s Death Panels will finish them off before they have a chance to get to the Death Camps.
More projection from the white supremacists. “Well, that’s what we’d do, so…”
Florida’s student surveys will quickly be overrun by massive participant trolling. Just too tempting a target for smartass college kids. (I say that with love)
I apologize for being dense, but that contraction is a little bit ambiguous. I’m assuming your intention was “Well, that’s what we did do, so…”. My apologies if I’ve misunderstood.
That’s what we did do, and what we fantasize about doing in the future. Whatever works for you.
"Uh, Governor DeSantis, the survey results show 28% of the students and faculty are Satanists; the remaining 72% listed Church of the FSM. I’m not sure what FSM stands for? Probably some offshoot from Baptist."
Senator James Lankford says that if people living in DC want to vote for President, nothing requires them to live there. He acts like he thinks that everybody in DC moved there from someplace relse.
Lankford: Why don’t they just vote in one of the districts at one of the other houses they own?
Reporter: Uh, Senator, most people don’t own multiple houses, and some folks in DC are renting.
Lankford: (Puzzled look) I don’t understand…
Amy’ll give him shit. (Klobuchar and he have collaborated on a bunch of bipartisan stuff.)
Biden made comments today about people who think they can overthrow the government with rifles will have to deal with nuclear bombs and F-15s. Now the right wing machine is claiming that he threatened the American people with nuclear weapons and F-15s.
Qevin MqQarthy claims that he gave Officer Fanone of the Capitol Police the phone number to call his office to make an appointment so that they could meet. Fantone says that’s a lie.
Equally stupid and evil-Florida Governor DeSantis has just signed a bill requiring Florida students and professors to register their political views with the state:
DeSantis signs bill requiring Florida students, professors to register political views with state (msn.com)
" Based on the bill’s language, survey responses will not necessarily be anonymous — sparking worries among many professors and other university staff that they may be targeted, held back in their careers or even fired for their beliefs.
According to the bill’s sponsor, state Sen. Ray Rodrigues, faculty will not be promoted or fired based on their responses, but, as The Tampa Bay Times reported Tuesday, the bill itself does not back up those claims."
Let’s hear it for The Florida Thought Police!
Is there any possible way that’s not going to get overturned by the courts?
Yes, but in the meantime they will begin making lists…
In the meantime they will attempt to destroy as many people’s lives as possible.
As the Maddowblog points out today, in the meantime most people will simply lie.
Still doesn’t excuse DeSantis
Students? That will end well…
