NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 1)

The ‘bully who Possesses Certainty/smug-snake Fox anchors’ theory ties in with a third factor: the flattery that a bully offers to his toadies. Namely, the successful bully will keep his toadies happy by telling them ‘WE are too smart to be taken in by ________; WE have it all over those stupid outsiders.’

This is a major part of what FoxNews offers its viewers: the message that they are now Insiders. They are In The Know. They (and the bully-hosts) are Too Smart to be taken in by government propaganda!

(Resulting in FoxNews killing off a certain number of its viewers who’ve been told that vaccines are a Plot against them, but…who’s counting?)

My normally pretty healthy neighbor came down with pneumonia in November 2019. Days in the hospital and breathing problems until the present. The interesting twist – about a month after her second vaccine shot, her breathing suddenly improved.

Mo Brooks admitted that when he spoke at Individual 1’s rally prior to the assault on the Capitol, he was wearing body armor.

Overly zealous huggers being caught up in the rapture of the moment. Duh.

Just your normal tourist gear.

So even if I took this jackass at his word, he knew of threats of violence, but couldn’t be bothered to notify the authorities, nor could he be bothered to tone down the rhetoric of his rally speech.

What a stand up guy!

They wanted violence. All of them from Trump on down. They came prepared for it. Who uses a baseball bat for a flag pole?

I had an idiot Trumper relative of a friend that was on my Facebook friends list for a while.

She went on a post January 6th rant about how the fact that the insurrectionists were armed was proof positive that Trump didn’t incite the insurrection, because the terrorists came prepared, therefore they couldn’t have been incited by Trump’s speech.

I wanted to point out that Trump was in the business of inciting insurrection long before January 6th, and the speech that day was merely his pre-insurrection pep talk, but I knew it would be a waste of electrons.

So — the insurrectionists were peaceful unarmed Patriots, which exonerates Trump, but if they were armed that also totally exonerates Trump. OK………

You know, I really hope the investigative agencies go there, but after listening to Chris Wray testify a few months ago, I’m not optimistic……it was maddening, he seemed to think that the only appropriate FBI response to the vocal public calls for insurrection was plugging their collective ears and singing LA LA LA I can’t hear you……otherwise they would be committing some sort of First Amendment violation. It’s been a few months and I’m paraphrasing, but he seemed to play dumb when asked if the election results might have motivated the insurrectionists, saying that everyone there had different motivations, When asked if he was aware that Trump was fighting the election results, his response was something vague along the lines of - “I think I might have seen something like that that somewhere on the Internet”.

I understand that Joe Biden is trying to go back to normalcy by keeping the job of FBI director non-political, but damn, he needs to remember why Wray was installed. I’m sure Wray convinced himself that he needed to suck Trump’s dick a little bit in order to prevent someone worse from getting the job, but he has a lot to answer for and I haven’t heard the right answers from him yet.

Individual 1 says that he will endorse the primary opponent of any Republican who votes for the infrastructure bill.

Considering recent results in Texas, that really shouldn’t frighten them, but it probably will.

Eventually there are going to be enough such results that Mar-a-Lago is going to have to offer really spectacular coupons in order to get anyone to visit.

Seriously: Trump’s “power” will wane quickly as the perception about his influence on elections becomes, inexorably, ‘he’s toxic’.

The pillow guy has pulled his commercials from Fox News because they won’t endorse his conspiracy theories.

I did wonder in the other Lindell thread why he was shovelling money at a network he hates. Apparently he suddenly wondered the same thing.

CANCEL CULTURE!!!

Faux News was already - or is - being sued by Dominion for touting The Big Lie. That’s why they won’t endorse his crazy bullshit.

I hope they implode!

“Today’s Anniversary of Medicare & Medicaid reminds us to reflect on the critical role these programs have played to protect the healthcare of millions of families. To safeguard our future, we must reject Socialist healthcare schemes.”

Stella Immanuel, the hydroxy quack, is suing CNN

Madison Cawthorn is raising money to pay the fines of Republicans who are refusing to wear masks in the House. At least, that’s what he says the money is for. But if you read the fine print on the website that you send your money to, it says it goes direct into his coffers.

Speaking of young Madison, it has just been revealed that he was stopped by TSA trying to carry a gun on board a plane, back in February.

She’s taking a beating in the replies.

Not by my reading. Nearly every comment is that Biden has fucked this country up beyond recognition in just 6 months, no more masks or lockdowns, etc.

It’s a right-wing glurge.

ETA: ah i was looking at the bulk of replies to her account; the replies to that one tweet are indeed delicious.
