NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 1)

Texas GOP Official Mocked COVID Five Days Before He Died of Virus

"In June, Parson said a Black inmate who has been in prison for more than 40 years for a triple murder state and federal prosecutors now say he didn’t commit just isn’t a priority for his office. So what type of case does Parson think is worth prioritizing? Well, on Tuesday, he announced the pardoning of a gun-toting white couple who loves firearms but hates anti-racism protesters.
Parson also noted that Strickland was tried and found guilty “by a jury of his peers.” There’s only one problem with that statement—it’s a whole-ass lie.

From the AP:

The Star reported in September that two men who pleaded guilty in the killings for decades swore Strickland was not with them and two other accomplices during the shooting. The only eyewitness also recanted and wanted Strickland released.

In a petition filed with the Missouri Supreme Court in May, defense attorneys also noted that prosecutors removed the only four Black potential jurors from the trial for Strickland, who is Black.

Because of the prosecution’s “racially motivated” strikes, Strickland’s fate was decided by an all-white jury during a trial overseen by a white judge with white lawyers, the Star reported."

I think the attitude is that while he may not be guilty of that murder, he’s probably guilty of something, so its probably just safer to keep him in prison. Certainly safer from a political point of view. You don’t get a whole lot of political credit for a pardon of a non-celebrity, but if you do release him and he does end up doing something bad, you get WIllie Hortoned. If a black man has to spend the rest of his life in prison to keep a white Gov in office, well that is probably a more productive use to his life than anything else he could hope to achieve.

<<In case it isn’t obvious, this post is dripping with sarcasm>>

Individual 1 says the US women’s soccer team didn’t get the gold medal because they’re leftist maniacs who suffer from wokeness.

As if we need more proof, here is yet more evidence that the My Pillow guy is certifiably insane.

But we can see the actual proof next week. His Cyber Symposium will be held on August 10th, 11th, and 12th in Sioux Falls.

Yeah, just watched that this morning. He is clearly either extremely gullible and ill-informed or at worst bat shit crazy. How the MyPillow board hasn’t forced him out is beyond me.

Unless of course they don’t have the power to do so.

Private company, so if there is a board it likely is him and his family.

I figured it had to be something like that.

Good think the Canadian women’s soccer team how just won gold is full of Trump supporters…

Oh wait.

They’re even more “woke” and “leftie” than the US team.

Yep. Off his meds. Or on them. Whichever it is, he is not behaving like a normal person. There is something mis-firing in his neurons.

I’m surprised Kristi Noem is letting him set foot in her state after he ditched her at CPAC and she had to thumb a ride home.

It’s well known that being “woke” and “leftie” only weakens Americans. It’s like kryptonite - kills Superman, but Batman just ignores it.

I guess the 4X100 USA men’s relay team has been “woke” for the past 20 years, given their poor performance.

MTG encourages gun owners to show up at their front door with their weapons when government workers, probably making minimum wage, show up to encourage them to get vaccinated.

Qevin MqQarthy had a press conference this morning excoriating Cuba for being mean to its population. A reporter asked him why he isn’t interested in finding out what happened on 1/6, and four cops dragged the reporter out of the room. I haven’t been able to find out who the police work for.

Speaking of 1/6, Individual 1’s former campaign official says there is going to be a “huge” rally at the Capitol next month.

The Newtster weighs in:

“The Left want to get rid of the rest of us because we believe in George Washington.”

Believe in George Washington?? Is that like believing in the Easter Bunny?

From that link:

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich appeared to embrace a racist conspiracy theory during an interview on Fox Business Wednesday, saying “the left” was bringing in immigrants “to get rid of the rest of us.”

Gingrich made the comments during a conversation about immigrants from Latin America entering the country during a COVID-19 surge, saying that those crossing the border were filtering out “traditional, classic Americans.”

“The anti-American left would love to drown traditional, classic Americans with as many people as they can who know nothing of American history, nothing of American tradition, nothing of the rule of law,” he said.

Does he mean the “traditional, classic Americans” whose parents or grandparents came here from Ireland, Italy, Poland, Germany, Russia, England, etc.? Or the ones who were dragged here in chains against their will from Africa? Or the ones who were imported from China to build railroads?

Or maybe he means the original NATIVE Americans who were already here for thousands of years when the Spanish and English invaders arrived and drove them from their ancestral land?

Which is it, Newt, you brass-plated S.O.B.?

IIRC he has a history degree, so probably this group, being the last set of Americans who were decimated by a virus brought in by immigrants.

“We’re Going Back To The Capitol”

Oh?

For…another…insurrection?

So could I qualify as a Classic Canadian, then?

“We’re going back to the Capitol”

Thanks for the warning. I hope that this time the police will be ready for your violent mob and more than willing and able to keep the yahoos away, with deadly force if necessary.

Play violent insurrection games, win unpleasant prizes.

I would guess that right-wing extremists are ramping up their courtship of Capitol police, D.C. Metropolitan police, and any National Guards personnel that might conceivably be called to the District.

There are already quite a few of the ‘overturn democracy, autocracy is best’ right-wingers ensconced in these bodies, by several reports. For example, some National Guardsmen had to be pulled from the Biden Inauguration detail due to their extremist connections:

Those planning to come to D.C. this month may have assured themselves of like-minded supporters among those expected to police the area.
