NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 1)

If it was the odorant added to natural gas, it is a mercaptan. But if it was hydrogen sulfide it is one of the deadliest gasses there is. The problem is not only is it toxic but one little whiff and you can’t smell it any more – you’re being poisoned without realizing it. It is found a lot around petroleum extraction and refining sites and as a result, there are H2S detectors all over the place, not that they’re always effective.

Two killed by hydrogen sulfide leak.

So I guess it’s a “libtard” thing to take simple precautions in the presence of danger or potential danger to life and limb?

Apparently it is now.

Time to go back to no seatbelts, smoke two packs a day, drink plenty (before getting behind the wheel), no sunscreen, don’t use handrails, look directly at solar eclipses, etc. It’s already okay to carry your gun everywhere in plain sight. Yeah, back to the Wild West when men were men-- and died young. But with their boots on.

As I’ve said before, the Republican Party is a death cult.

Or if we don’t die, we remain in a persistent vegetative state-- like real men.

Republicans are the new martyrs, as long as somebody else does the dying part.

No sacrifice is too great for the cause, as long as someone else is making it!

I didn’t see anywhere in the ABC13 report that residents had been advised to “wear a face mask.” Good thing, too, because unless you have access to the hazmat ones with specialized cannisters, face masks wouldn’t do a damn thing to protect you. Unlike – say – COVID.

MTG is working on impeachment charges against Biden

And Rick Scott wants to remove Biden under the provisions of the 25th Amendment.

Didn’t MTG pull this previously? Yes, she did. But this time it’ll work for sure!

It’s her new hobby now that she found plenty of free time after getting kicked out of her House committees. And some folks just never get good at their hobby. Look at me and my 30 years of playing guitar. Actually, I’m not as bad as MTG is at her new hobby.

Ok, this may not be a stupid Republican idea, but it came about because of stupid Republican Ideas.

Abbott test positive

Well, we can certainly describe this an a not-unlikely result of some very Stupid Republican Ideas. Didja all see that tweet I posted (yesterday I think) of Abbott partying it up, playing a fiddle while Texas burns (yes, really) at some big Texas BBQ?

I don’t seriously wish death on him, but if he gets seriously ill for a while, I would not be terribly upset. (My guess: Like a lot of these Republican hypocrites, he is probably already well-vaxxed, even as he tries his best to kill as many of his fellow Texans as he can.)

ETA – Yes, I see it’s mentioned today in the Screw Greg Abbott thread, that he is vaxxed. That’s too bad.

ETA-2: And here’s the post with the link to the tweet with the pic of him fiddling:

Yeah and he is receiving the antibody treatment.

From the article

He is receiving Regeneron’s monoclonal antibody treatment, according to his office.

What? Didn’t have faith in Dr Trump’s remedies?

Oh screw that. It’s not even FDA approved. Hey, Texas is horse country. Give him Ivermectin. In full horse doses.

Did’ja all see that news yesterday (I’m sure it’s been posted here somewhere) that Gov. DeathSantis (yes, they’re calling him that now) set up an entire Regeneron therapy clinic in some huge stadium? But nary a vaccination station to be seen.

The article I read mentioned that Regeneron costs some huge about ($2500 I think it was) per treatment, and entails an infusion treatment with an IV needle in your arm for four hours. That will be great for all the needle scaredy-cats who can’t cope with a widdle vaccination poke.

Isn’t bleach and UV rays up the butt far more economical and just as effective?

Can someone explain this to me? Is “testing positive” the same thing as actually HAVING covid? When someone who’s not the governor of a state “tests positive,” do they get any treatment? I didn’t think so. I thought they were just supposed to stay home, rest, drink fluids, etc., maybe use a finger-oxygen monitor thing. Is Greg only getting the antibody treatment because he’s an Important Person? Anyway, as a vaccinated person why does he even need treatment? Enquiring minds damn well want to know!!

I’m thinking more of aquarium disinfectant hydroxychloroquine phosphate tablets, which have an established track record of killing at least one person who took one after T. told him to.
