Chuck Grassley, at a Senate hearing for the approval of federal court nominee Lucy Koh, congratulates her on how people of Korean ethnicity have a good work ethic.
Would these jackasses even know what a “modem” looks like? Particularly one that was hidden there by an Evil Cabal™?

Not that they have the first clue what they are looking for. But I bet they can destroy evidence pretty well. That’s what they do.
And I’m sure if nothing’s found the party will pay for replacing the machines.
I mean that’s what the Arizona Republican party did when Cyber Ninjas compromised my county’s vote counting machines and nothing was found.
The pillow guy claims that 2,000 people over the age of 200 voted in 2020, including one individual who was 850 years old at the time.
He would show us proof, but his team is worried that their computers have been compromised with secret modems that would send the data through 5G so it can be corrupted.
Of course this patronizing and insulting remark by Chuck Grassley may have simply reflected his own patronizing, insulting, and fundamentally racist views. (“Your people” certainly put that American citizen in her place as ‘not really an American,’ didn’t it!)
But my more cynical side wonders if his staffers/finance guys actually encouraged him to say something racist, because the ensuing “liberal” displeasure would permit him to fundraise more effectively.
He’s got a campaign to pay for, after all!

Alleged Christian Franklin Graham thinks it’s “an ominous sign” that the DOJ is tracking threats of violence against school board members.
Except that’s not what’s being objected to, Graham, you dishonest piece of excrement. Threatening violence is NOT the same thing as voicing ‘strong opinions.’

I wish he would retire. He’s been my Senator for almost my whole life. I don’t care if he has a DIL who is Korean American… this just shows “she’s one of the good ones.”
IOWs he’s still stuck in the 90s and New Oughts … and should have retired 20 years ago.
For a few years now there have been embarrassing incidents in which Grassley is clearly being puppeteered by his aides—video of him repeating what they whisper in his ear in committee meetings, etc.
I guess the Iowa GOP just doesn’t have anyone else with his degree of name-recognition to run in his place.
