NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 1)

Yep. Anyone complaining about Chappelle being “canceled” while ignoring this guy is a complete hypocrite.

There are supposed “centrists” who like to bothsidersism who will scream to the rooftops because someone canceled their Netflix account over their promotion of transphobic content, but simply turn a blind eye towards people in power who are trying to silence any semblance of opposition like this guy.

We know the Republicans are without any shame or honor, the “centrists” need to realize that they don’t have any either.

Tasersuaq? It might be a bit cold.

Adam Kinzinger retires:

Crap. I can only imagine the hell he’s gone through the past couple of years, but yet again one of the few decent Republicans left chooses to walk away rather than fight the lunatics. I’m sure he’ll be replaced by a mouth-foaming MAGAt, too.

The LaRousse Dictionary???

Districts are being redrawn in Illinois, and it was somewhat expected that he would be drawn out of a job, but is this effective immediately? Or does it just mean no reelection campaign? And if immediate, is there a vacancy on the Jan 6 committee?

Sorry, as is traditional, he is retiring at the end of his term.

NBC News Radio just reported that Kinzinger simply decided to not run for re-election and plans to stay in politics. Maybe he plans a run at the White House?

Harris-Kinzinger 2024?

we will just see him hanging out in the lobby

For the record, although he isn’t afraid of Trump, Kinzinger is quite the Republican.

I noted that his announcement was written very carefully to only speak in terms of generalities rather than specifics, such that both sides could listen to it and think that when he referred the lies, tribalism and extremism that he was talking about the other side.

So while we on the left may view his speech as a rebuke of Trumpism, he’s keeping his options open.

Meh. He rails against Individual 1, but still votes the Republican party line. I wish one reporter would ask him why he voted against the John Lewis civil rights act,

Jake Tapper asked him, and the response was typical.
(By the way, shoutout! to Channahon, Illinois!)

Which of course isn’t enough for today’s Republicans. Today’s psychotic Republicans demand equally that one uses ones tongue to clean Donald Trump’s shoes.
(Yeah, I quoted myself.)

You don’t just have to drink the flavor-aid, you have to take it intravenously.

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking. Weird!

She sounds nice…
“Scott has been a prolific booster on Facebook of the QAnon conspiracy theory, which holds that Trump will soon lead a fascist purge against his enemies, a cabal of cannibal-pedophiles in the Democratic Party and Hollywood. Scott has promoted the QAnon claim that world elites consume “adrenochrome,” a substance they drain from children after sexually abusing them in Satanic rituals.”

Finally, proof that someone has tampered with our voting equipment!

Yeah, this. I don’t have a scorecard for who’s who in Congress, and after listening to the whole thing, I still had to google him to find out which party he was from. The only line which gave you any kind of a hint was about the other 9 members of the house who voted to impeach a president from their own party, and even that was worded so passively that unless you knew him already, you’d have a hard time figuring out that he also voted that way.
