I think the idea is something like: Liberal elites have armed bodyguards to protect them, but normal hard-working Americans can only depend on themselves for protection. IOW, liberal elites have their protection, but want to take away yours.
So it isn’t hypocrisy for Cruz to also have armed bodyguards, because he’s not not trying to take guns away from hard-working Americans.
Of course, the whole thing is ridiculous because liberals, elite or not, aren’t trying to take away anyone’s guns.
Exactly. He thinks that being sexually attracted to other men does not mean he’s gay.
He defines gay as “going to gay bars” and “indoctrinating children”.
Dude is a bit confused. I have gone to a gay bar. I have taught children (“indoctrinated” them"). However, I am very much attracted to women. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
IMO, it’s more that they think that being “anti gun,” as they would put it, means being against them in every context and circumstance, like a pacifist. It’s the same reason they always assume that they’d be the only ones armed in their revolutionary fantasies and why they think “I have a black friend” inherently means they’re not racist.
Senate candidate Billy Long (Q-MO) says that, if elected, he’ll force Kamala Harris to resign, get Biden to appoint Loser Donald as his new VP, then force Biden to reaign.
DeSantis is uber-creepy (as well as dangerous). Look at the photo accompanying that story—how many hours do you suppose he spends staring in the mirror and trying to duplicate Donald’s expressions???
Among my daily meditations is the hope that Donald will become mightily threatened by DeSantis’s success, and will exert himself to expunge him (the way the GOP establishment exerted itself to punish and exile Madison Cawthorn). I’d almost be grateful to Donald, revolting as that thought is, should he succeed in bringing down DeSantis.
Good point. Supposedly DeSantis is well-educated. But on the other hand, any chance that someone could snap a candid shot of him reading could hurt his electoral chances. Them voters don’t hold with no book larnin’!
Also, DeSantis’ ego probably protects him from any idea that he’s not fated to rule. He’s probably confident that Trump can’t do much to him (and that actually could be correct, more’s the pity).
Serious question regarding both the liar Boebert and her tan liar hero TFG: Has either one ever told a joke? The only time I hear from either of them that they were joking is when the nonsense they spew hits the news. What gets me about that, though, is why they try to cover it up as joking; their base believes it, so why not go for it whole hog?
