NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 2)

Dr Oz said that he’s working to crack down on “illegal immigrants.” The company owned by his wife’s family, in which he is a partial owner, was fined $95 million by ICE in the largest “illegal immigrant” importing scheme it has ever encountered.

There is no doubt she was calling for Biden’s death: the verses 8 and 9 of Psalm 109 go:

We often joke about “IOKWARDI,”* but the normalization of calls for violence is proceeding at a pace that seems to be accelerating.

.* It’s OK When a Republican Does It.

Huh, I never knew Dr. Oz was connected to Asplundh. Also doesn’t surprise me in the least that that company was using undocumented immigrants to trim trees.

And fuckers like him get elected? Jesus.

I believe I’ve mentioned it here over the hiatus of competency in the executive branch: today’s republicans get elected because they no longer have a quite part; they just say what their deplorable base wants to say out loud themselves. Those voters elect people like him because that’s exactly what they think they’d do in that situation.

As a rebuke to “Let’s Go Brandon”-here’s a sweet story about how that stupid slogan actually helped someone.

Apparently Eliot didn’t write that, so I don’t think he would be. Robert Dodsley would maybe be flattered by being confused with Eliot, though.

Peter Hedgseth of Fox was complaining about how the right wingers in Idaho got arrested by Black Lives Matter protestors weren’t arrested for “burning down cities” (apparently none of them, ever).

De Santis says “will not tolerate hatred towards the LGBTQ” community". Isn’t he the one leading the hatred?

Hypocrite.

‘We don’t hate them, we just want to end their existence… in the nicest way possible of course.’

Doug Mastroiano has hired Individual One lawyer Jenna Ellis on his campaign staff.

Marge Greene says there is a shortage of tampons because trans women are using them.

Hey, is there a follow up to how that JFK/Jesus/Maga/Second Coming bullshit worked out? I mean, it happened, right? Surely it happened as advertised. Only someone taking advantage of stupid people would have it any other way.

I cannot even begin to parse the ways she is an idiot.

Is she concerned about transmen using them? Because transmen may need them anyway depending on their state of transition and putting them in men’s bathrooms makes sense (and it just means fewer being used from women’s bathrooms if these transmen would otherwise have to get them from the women’s bathrooms).
Is she concerned about transwomen using them? Because transwomen don’t need tampons and don’t use them so that’s just idiotic.
Is she concerned that there is a huge volume of unused tampons just sitting around in men’s bathrooms while elsewhere there is a shortage? Somehow I doubt it but any men here can let me know if this is the case.

I just can’t deal. My IQ drops 20 points every time I hear her.

That’s how it spreads. Like pod people.

A quick search revealed that Greene was making it all up.

Can I nominate this as the least necessary line ever written in a news article?

I think that the idea is that there are some small number of transwomen (i.e., anatomically male and psychologically female) who buy tampons and then find various nonstandard ways of using them (such as rectally), because doing so makes them feel “more feminine”. Which probably does happen occasionally, because there are a lot of people out there, with a lot of ideas that seem weird to most of us. But that’s only a very small fraction of transwomen, who are already a very small fraction of the population: It’d represent an increase in demand for tampons of much less than a percent. There’s no way, in anything remotely resembling a sane market, that such a minuscule increase in demand could cause shortages.

Yep, right beside the pallets of baby formula.
