NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 2)

Everyone is assigned a number, from 000000001 to 999999999
9 cages, each with 10 numbers, 0-9.
Draw one number from each cage.
This gives you just under one billion possible combinations.
Only need 90 balls.

Those are the ones we don’t want to get rid of!

And if anyone complains about losing, we can just say, “You don’t have the balls to be President!” and then point and laugh.

I rather liked a take David Eddings had, although I don’t know if it would be practical on a large scale. Essentially, every citizen in the kingdom was required to serve in the government if their number came up in the lottery. Before they entered government service, however, everything they owned was sold and put into the national treasury. What they got back when their terms ended depended on how well they’d governed.

Much better option.

That’s just an open obvious invitation to engage in the most blatant self-dealing corruption.

And he has resigned.

Fox News pundit explains why the crackdown on the trucker blockade is so terrible:

Being a complete ignoramus must be a requirement to work for FOX.

It’s a little-known (i.e. limited to the most ignorant of ignorami) factoid that Dr. King wrote “Letter From a Birmingham Jail” while waiting for his turn in the “Just Visiting” space.

It’s particularly galling because, at that point in history, Canada still had the [War Measures Act](War Measures Act - Wikipedia, which by all measures would have made oppressing the political movements of the 60s much easier. But it wasn’t invoked until people started taking hostages and killing people. Even many years of bomb attacks preceding that weren’t enough to get the government to use the Act.

Unsurprisingly, these idiots have no sense of real history.

Martin Luther King?

Sure.

The only arrests so far have been armed men in Alberta charged with conspiracy to commit murder, as they had guns, ammunition and body armor, and were ready to kill police.

But sure - they’re just the same as Rev. King.

These guys have been predicting an immanent dictatorship for almost two years now. They of course don’t see the irony that it’s their own actions that have brought the closest thing to a dictatorship that we’ve seen.

I mean, seriously, the government has spent almost three weeks now bending over backwards trying to avoid using their Big Stick to resolve this crisis, but yeah, sure, Trudeau has “just been looking for an excuse” to come down on them all.

Evidently not:

Biden, the same guy who in the summer of 2020 decided he would allow people to burn down streets and businesses and create all kinds of problems,” [Jeanine Pirro] said…

Are these the same people who blamed Obama for the incompetent way he handled 9/11 as President?

Please tell me you are not planning to go all Golgafrichan on us. Or, maybe, hmm

Don’t worry, we’ll keep the telephone sanitizers this time!

Well, neither do their viewers.

Florida police gave drivers a website for paying traffic fines. It directed them to pro-Trump merchandise.

Just a typo, I’m sure.
