The floor doesn’t count as furniture.
Or do you mean the stationary bicycle?
If it wasn’t stationary it wouldn’t be very good for hanging clothes on it would it?
I think this thread has gone on long enough without a reminder that Ted Cruz is a horrible excuse for a human being:
(Yeah, I know it’s MSN, but this is the first time I’ve seen such a detailed picture of whatever is glued to his face.)
Therefore, mixed-race marriages are wrong and the issue should be returned to the states.
In Seattle, the county GOP has been putting signs on ballot drop boxes warning that they were “under surveillance” and would be prosecuting people dropping off multiple ballots.
Dropping off ballots for someone else is legal in Washington. Posting political signs on or near them, however, is not, and within hours of the local paper publishing the story the GOP county chairman announced he was disbanding the “election integrity committee”.
Yet another story about how the Republicans know laws are being broken . . . because they are the ones breaking said law.
And owning human beings.
Hey, I got my eye on a couple.
Given a specific amendment against it, I’m 59.874% certain that this court would not allow that.
…except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, right?
Hence, hedging my statement with a 59.874% chance. And given the definition of 'cruel and unusual in 1787, pretty much anything would fly.
Mr. Niemerg, you’re no Justice Potter Stewart.
That article is notably short on details. Any idea on what he objects to? Or is it the teaching of sex at all in school that is his problem (wouldn’t surprise me)?
Mostly this but he also calls the new curriculum too progressive.
Sex ed that is taught in grade school is almost exclusively so that the kids recognize and report sexual abuse and misconduct.
It’s not so surprising why Republicans are against this.
But that amendment was passed way after 1789 – four score and seven years and all that – so, because it wasn’t in the original Constitution and wasn’t thought up by the Founding Fathers (PBUT) it doesn’t really count.
There is a bill before the North Carolina legislature to make it legal to murder a pregnant woman if she is contemplating having an abortion. I’m not clear how that would save the fetus.
A MAGA sheriff in Kansas is suggesting that his sheriffs be allowed to carry people’s ballots, and to have them in the room where ballots are counted.
Johnson County is the most populous and wealthiest county in the state. It’s also one of the few (if not the only) county that has a majority of Democratic voters.
