Wait - is he actually saying that under House Rules, one is not allowed to point out false statements, or only false statements made by his side of the isle?
It sounded like he was caught in an outrageous lie and started playing the victim.

That’s pretty much it. One guy said “read these documents, and stop making false claims”, and then this came out. There’s really not a lot of wiggle room there.

Cicillene introduces a fact check on GOP claims that the DOJ is accusing parents of being “terrorists” and tells his GOP colleages to try reading some documentation he placed on the record, leading to Gohmert’s objection that there’s some sort of rule against complaining when Republicans lie.
Once again proving that, to Republicans, Freedom of Speech means freedom from consequences of what they speak.
