NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 2)

Here’s something interesting: a stupid idea from a stupid republican! From Yahoo.com:

Lindsey Graham Would Like States to Decide If LGBTQ People Count as Fully Human

Watch the video–I mean if you can stomach looking at and listening to the twerp.

Is it just me, or is he trying for a more gravelly, “manly” sounding voice? Whenever I’ve heard him talk before, it was more the Conservative Nerd, whiny kind of voice, just slimy enough to make you want to smack him. But now it seems to me he’s trying to sound “tougher”. Did he work with a dialect coach recently?

His last line there, “If you ask, ‘Should the Federal government take over defining marriage?’, my answer is ‘No’.”, makes it pretty clear to me: if a state wants to ban interracial marriage, he’s going to be okay with that.

I wonder what Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has to say about that.

He didn’t want to marry Lindsey Graham no matter what the law allows.

Is he afraid of commitment?

As little as possible, I’d imagine. These are not people noted for considering the obvious consequences of their beliefs.

I’ve been tempted to write a parody piece of Clarence’s Thomas’s legal opinion as to why interracial marriage should be illegal, but it would violate the community standards of the board, even in the Pit.

The short clean version would be “We’re disgusting. If you saw us no way you would think that should be legal”.

Kim Crockett, the Republican candidate for Minnesota Secretary of State, who would be responsible for elections, questions whether people with disabilities and people who don’t speak English should be allowed to vote.

The party of freedom, yet again, wants to deny freedom, literally:

Right-Winger Calls for LGBTQ+ People to Be Put in Camps Over Monkeypox

A supporter of Kari Lake, the Republican nominee for Arizona governor, has called for LGBTQ+ people to be put into camps to stop the spread of monkeypox.

“We need to quarantine and isolate all the folks of the LGBT community,” Ethan Schmidt-Crockett said in a video posted to social media. “We need to find all of them. We need to hunt them down and put them into isolation camps for their own protection.”

More inanity at the link.

I hope for her future in life that there are no quotes from Kari Lake about Covid and if there are they better fucking be things like “We need to quarantine and isolate all the folks with Covid. We need to find all of them. We need to hunt them down and put them into isolation camps for their own protection.”

From the “Bring Me the News” link on Republican candidate Kim Crockett…

In responding (last Friday) to that abomination she spewed in a Sept. 2020 radio interview about disabled and non-English speaking voters, the shitheel’s office came up with this abomination:

Not sure how her remarks were taken out of context when she outright stated in that 2020 i-iview:

What a fucked-up spin, in the Friday “statement”, to then foist some blathering about…

WTF? Who are the predators? And what is so predacious about their “guidance”?

Of course, the statement’s final sentence would have to win the Multiplex Projection of the Year Award. And even the first fucklng sentence, there, mighta helped if it had been a complete one.

Further links at the bottom of the article I couldn’t be arsed to check out about her dabblings in anti-semitism and other instances of bigotry.

Late, dumb ETA - the final “sentence” in my previous post turned out a bit ironic, given the sentence immediately preceeding.
(Or, at least I think that sentence isn’t, quite, ‘all there’.)

The Onion article practically writes itself. “Party that opposed quarantine measures in 2020 suddenly realizes they’re great, when given an opportunity to abuse people they already hate!”

For their own protection. So, the people who already have monkeypox won’t be in the camps, is that what she meant?

That sounds awfully familiar. Where have I heard this before?

DeSantis has suspended the elected state attorney in Hillsborough County, a Democrat naturally, for declaring that he will not enforce the state’s draconian anti-abortion laws. The state attorney hasn’t even done anything yet, but the pledge was good enough. He is suing.

nevermind, turns out it’s false.

Satire. But I believed it for a moment.
