The “nuns” that keep showing up at MAGAt rallies are not real nuns. They come from a non-profit organization that is not related to the Church, and in fact are sedevancatists (people who don’t think there has been a real Pope since they started allowing non-Latin languages in church services.

Meh. The Roman Catholic Church doesn’t have any special power to say who’s a nun or not. But good on the RCC for calling out that they’re not RCC.
Unless you want to:
- Get an abortion
- Smoke pot
- Check out certain books from the library
- Marry someone that is your own gender
- Define gender differently than what I do
- Pick your own gender pronouns
But beyond those things, we don’t care what you do.
Or get a civil union with someone your own gender. Unless same sex marriage is legal, then suddenly it turns out you were all for civil unions the whole time and you can’t believe how the homosexual agenda is shoving gay marriage down your throat when they should just be satisfied with civil unions.
Um, they kind of do? Being Roman Catholic is part of the definition of being a nun. Other religions include female monastic traditions, but none of the members of those are called “nuns”.
Buddhist sisters are called nuns.
Not just Roman Catholic:
In Christianity, nuns are found in the Roman Catholic, Oriental Orthodox, Eastern Orthodox, Lutheran, and Anglican traditions, as well as other Christian denominations.
I wonder how they got into the habit.
