In modern parlance, chastity and celibate are often used interchangeably, but there used to be a distinction. Chastity means abstaining from immoral sexual relations. Celibacy means abstaining from marriage. So a married person would not be celibate, but would be chaste if they honored their marriage vows. An unmarried person would be celibate, but would not be chaste if they engaged in sexual relations.
I expect every order of nuns has their own version of vows; I don’t have great insight into variations.
