NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 2)

Can’t wait to read the judges reply. I hope she is hit with costs.

Never mind, saving myself from being ninja’d…

I hope her lawyers get sanctioned for advancing a nonsensical case wasting the court’s time.

SPeaking of Stupid Pet (Legal) Tricks:

‘Nothing off the table’: Jim Jordan eyes subpoenas in connection to FBI stripping gun rights

The FBI has used internal forms to waive away the gun rights of at least 23 people without congressional approval, the Washington Examiner reported.

I clicked on the secondary link I quoted, and found this in the other story:

It is also unclear what sort of background the people who signed the eight forms had. The forms reported on prior included records showing that signatories were those who allegedly made violent threats in person, in online chat rooms, and on social media.

So, either Proud Boys or Jan6ers, or both. Gym wants to give coverage to tRump’s “revolutionaries.”

Herschel Walker was surprised he didn’t win 100% of the vote in the county he grew up in. He wants the sheriff to tell him the names of those who didn’t vote for him.

Nothing fascist about that. Nothing at all.

What’s his address? I’ll send him a personal note how I didn’t vote for him.

So, it’s moving day at the Capitol, and offices are being shuffled from one place to another.

A stupid lying piece of shit Republican (but I repeat myself) takes the opportunity to try to take down one of his colleagues.

On the one hand, I’d say he was called out on his lies fairly effectively. OTOH, his constituents and republicans in general will just see his lies, and never bother to find out the truth of what a sack of shit he is for it.

(Since it doesn’t autopreview, he has a video of him showing a flag in a “trash can”, and is implying that she threw it out. The video also clearly shows a sign saying that this is a bin used to transport things from one office to another.)

Dammit Dems!!! He did not “mislead”; he deliberately LIED. He is a disgrace to his military service. He learned nothing in basic training. He is a racist. He failed in his oath to country.

Every media outlet in his district should have the LIE exposed on it. Make him retract and apologize publicly.

So that means that when he said he “rescued” the flag, he was actually just plain stealing it?

And that’s just for being a Republican.

Then there’s the whole lying about his collegue throwing out the flag thing.

Unfortunately, it will not air on any media that his supporters watch.

I don’t recall flag etiquette being covered in boot camp at all. <shrug> Maybe it’s just something the Army does differently than the Navy.

I was never in the Navy, but I did Navy JROTC in high school and one of our assignments was to complete the actual “seaman correspondence” workbook junior enlisted were required to do to reach E-3. I recall there being an entire chapter on flag etiquette, seeing how flags are a big deal at sea.

Yes, this should happen.

What will actually happen: Mast will fundraise off his blatant, ugly lie.

No, see, according to his lexicon, the “garbage can” that he was rescuing the flag from was some filthy, disgusting Democrat who does not deserve to so much as even look at it. In other words, his statement was a veiled epithet.

And I’m sure that he’s similarly concerned whenever he sees a flag being flown at night, or in the rain, or made into an article of clothing, or used as the basis for some other flag.

Why did this bring This Is Spinal Tap to mind?

[discussing Nigel’s Guitar collection]
Nigel Tufnel: Look… still has the old tag on, never even played it.
Marty DiBergi: [points his finger] You’ve never played…?
Nigel Tufnel: Don’t touch it!
Marty DiBergi: We’ll I wasn’t going to touch it, I was just pointing at it.
Nigel Tufnel: Well… don’t point! It can’t be played.
Marty DiBergi: Don’t point, okay. Can I look at it?
Nigel Tufnel: No. no. That’s it, you’ve seen enough of that one.

And yet again:

MTG says that if she (and Bannon) would have been in charge, they would have won on 1/6.

“I want to tell you something. If Steve Bannon and I had organized that, we would have won. Not to mention, we would’ve been armed,”

In a sane world, announcing that the problem with a violent insurrection was that she wasn’t in charge of it would get her shunned by everyone.

Sadly, this isn’t a sane world.
