I…I don’t even know…
It’s real, it’s on his TS page
I found this, here, which makes Trump’s comment make more sense, but why would Bud do it? I have to assume that Budweiser essentially paid him to say this.
What Trump didn’t mention is that his about-face came just hours after a firm run by a top lobbyist for Anheuser-Busch formally announced a massive fundraiser for Trump’s reelection campaign.
I mentioned in the other thread the right’s lack of integrity and this is just another example. They don’t care that a trans person was on the can, in fact, they’d likely have never noticed if it wasn’t pointed out to them, they just want to kiss Trump’s ass. Why someone cares about respecting Trumps wishes to boycott a beer they like, I have no idea.
It may be that only 1,500 employees self-identify as veterans, perhaps through membership in a affiliation group within the company, but there are others who haven’t joined.
This one in 2009 says “more than 5,500 over the years since WW1”
And that number is repeated here 8 months ago. It doesn’t include the “over the years phrasing” but does include people who served in WW1 and so are unlikely to be current employees.
So my guess is that that sometime around 2019 they employed 1,500 veterans and another 4,000 worked for them in the companies history. As for whether this is low or high. About 1/20 working Americans are veterans. And A-B employed over a hundred thousand employees in 2009, so 1,500 is way low.
Democrats HAVE to run on this. Make an ad for each and every Republican who declined to make the border stronger.
Words of one syllable, Dems. Make it clear and make it simple.

Yes, go after this (and be sure it’s made illegal in every state). And for states that decline to make it illegal: same thing as with the ‘no on border security’ votes by Republicans. Make sure the GOP legislatures (because of course) who refuse to make AI-faked robocalls illegal have to wear that refusal right around their necks.
Could the law be done on a federal level? Presumably, these ads cross state lines. Whether it airs in multiple states, is sent from one state to others (to be aired) or maybe it was sent back and forth (across state lines) while it was being made.
I have no idea if something like that is even a thing, however.
In any case, I have a feeling the people making these, at least from now on, will do a better job of hiding their identity. Maybe the FCC(?) could make it illegal to air these types of ads as they’re considered election interference (but then is that a 1A issue?) and they could give the TV station, or wherever it pops up, an ultimatum. Turn over the person that hired you to air this or you get punished and then work backwards until you get to the person that made it or the person that refuses to tell you where they got it.
I think a couple of hefty fines to TV stations that air it would quickly put an end to them.
Let’s face it. Evidence shows that the GOP of today are Putin-loving supporters of an insurrectionist and rapist, and are cheering for America to fail. And doing whatever they can to achieve that end.
