NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 3)

“Hell, I will gladly provide them with more shit to throw, while at the same time bemoaning all the shit that is flying around!”

These dumb morons just got caught forging signatures to recall one of their own, and they still didn’t get enough.

Pro-Trump attorney arrested after court hearing about leaked Dominion emails

If I’m reading it correctly, she was on trial for leaking Dominion emails and arrested on a warrant for failing to appear in another case where she tried to steal some voting machines.

I have to say that one of Trump’s accomplishments appears to be clearing some of the dross out of the legal profession, one court case and/or sanction hearing at a time.

Perfection.

All these people have their finger to the wind, and it’s telling them they can get away with just a little teensy smidge of expressed doubt about Donald.

But this is not a new development. Right-wingers have been doing it since 2015, at least. A common example would be the oft-heard comment ‘I wish he’d tweet less.’ (Of course he solved that by exiting Twitter.)

I think you’re correct that Cassidy and his clones think that they’ll get credit for sounding “reasonable” when they express anything less-than-worshipful about Donald. Sadly, some on the right probably rationalize the entire situation this way: sure, I voted for him every chance I got, but there were a few times when I said he’d done something less than perfect!

Fox News is begging the bald guy from Shark Tank to pay Loser Donald’s half billion dollar fine for him.

I only wish he’d responded with “I’m out.”

So now not only do we Russian meddling with our democracy, but now we have to worry about Canadian citizens meddling in our elections too!

I still give Cassidy credit for his surprise vote to convict Trump in the 2nd impeachment proceeding, though.

In this case, an egregious Canadian putzhead.

He needs to learn brow-furrowing kata from Senator Collins.

Hey, you got off easy, this guy actually ran for office up here not too long ago.

Or what I recently overheard heard from a right-wing acquaintance who was talking on his phone about DJT: “Ya know, I like him and all the great things he’s tying to do for this country, but I just wish he would just shut the fuck up sometimes”.

Didn’t he run someone over with his boat while drunk recently? What happened to that?

Yep, just had a moment-of-that yesterday with someone who would otherwise be perceived as a “conventional” RWer — the view that he is just personally obnoxious and he hurts his own side’s chances, but not that his means and ends are harmful or disqualifying per se. They wish they could have a “nice” standardbearer who would not stir up opposition, but if the primary voters chose him, well, what do you want us to do? Let the Democrat win???

Bingo! Pithy analysis. :+1:

He blamed it on his wife, I think she got off lightly.

I’ve mentioned before that — word-for-word — a Trump voter patiently explained to me that “I think he’s an idiot, but I like his policies.”

Yes, for some people, “Policies” = “Cuts taxes”, and that’s literally all they care about. I call them the “Sex With a Sheep” voters, after this guy:

I thought Canada took DUIs seriously… I have one from years back and got told I am permanently banned from Canada…because I might relapse after a decade… when I see a Molson add or something…

The new head of the RNC is hard at work.
