NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 3)

Get this - the Governor is using health and safety laws meant to enforce physical sanitation risks like pollution or sewage leaks to threaten to prosecute television stations for running a political commercial. Because abortion is a health risk to fetuses?

JD Vance was all anti-censorship at the VP Debate. I wonder how he feels about this?

This is government overreach and abuse of power. Republicans freak out about government oppression, but when it actually happens they cheer it on.

Moses Mike says the House will not vote on hurricane relief funds after the election, because they want to make people suffer so they can try to blame it on Democrats.

You misspelled but when they actually do it, they cheer it on.

That cretin read A Gift from Earth and decided the Covenant of Planetfall is a how-to book on government.

Doubly ironic that Mike (swingingbythe) Johnson is from Lousyana, which, as I recall, took a solid hit in August.

Senator Mike Braun of Indiana says it should be up to the states whether or not to allow interracial marriage.

That’s from Mar 22, 2022.

ETA: Sadly, it looks like he’s going to be Indiana’s next governor.

Doesn’t he have a Supreme Court justice on his side with that, said SCOTUSJ who also is in an inter-racial marriage?

Didn’t notice the date stamp. Whoops.

Remember: One issues that Republicans are for they want a national mandate and law. On issues they’re against they say “states’ rights” and want it to be chopped up in conflicting laws.

You’d think that with at least one Supreme being in an interracial marriage that sort of decision would never be made, but these days you never know…

Twitter is posting really old stuff. It’s the only way to make the site look busy. I’m trying to remember to look at the dates now.

They’ll probably rule that only the Supreme Court can decide which interracial marriages are legitimate. (Hint: It will be OK for rich people)

It can’t help but make me think of this Mr. Show sketch about Senator Tankerbell who finds everything erotic.

I can’t believe that any ethics experts are shocked that the MAGA crowd wants to shut down a company because of something that Vance shared with one guy.

Wherever I first saw this, it also had a recent graph showing a huge spike in videos being played.

Please don’t put it that way. Clarence has too big of a head already!

there are 2 justices who have bi ethic marriages.

Lock them up!

WV legislature wants to pass a bill declaring Trump the winner of the presidential election.

Bi ethic? That’s all the republican justices, right?

I suppose I could wrap my head around why someone, even a large-ish group, would feel like they have to pre-emptively do something. What I can’t grasp is why it’s the melon felon for whom they’re doing all of that something.

Lucky! I’ve read about teachers in certain states doing the same thing today with various titles that have been banned or challenged. My AP English teacher was a super sweet lady who left us to watch video adaptations while she was…meeting with the principal. wink, wink

Oh, definitely.

Yeah, funny how some parts of the Bible are never discussed in church settings, yet they want the book in every classroom. I’m guessing they just want The Good Book itself in the hands of the teacher, and not those of the curious little children.

I wasn’t familiar with this!! XD
