I heard that one candidate being considered for the US Attorney General slot is Ken Paxton, Texas’s Attorney General. He’s a corrupt crook who abused his position to go after political and personal opponents. He was indicted in Texas for security fraud while Attorney General. He eventually got a plea deal, after a decade of stalling.
Of course Trump wants a fellow felon as his Chief Prosecutor.
Paxton is everything the religious fascists love. He is anti LGTBQ, and anti-abortion. Witness Texas’s strict anti abortion law.
He’s definitely right up Trump’s alley for going after “woke” legal issues.

For far too many, Cruelty is the New Morality, and accusing them of such will be the equivalent of accusing them of wearing tan pants instead of brown. You will get the same blank look you get when you accuse them of hypocrisy.

Yes, because Trump actually does feel the sting of his indictments and convictions. He didn’t talk about this at his rallies but he’s just as incentivized to sell the idea ‘EVERYONE IS CORRUPT & CRIMINAL’ as he is to sell the idea ‘those who disrespected me must suffer.’ If everyone’s a criminal, then his own legal situation doesn’t reflect badly on him.

This is what truly scares me about the future. I’m an old lady, but I have a daughter and a granddaughter. I’m starting to look at men differently, wondering which of them is full of hatred. I’ve always quite liked men, now I don’t want to make that mistake too easily.
