NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 3)

The homo/trans phobic congressmen are going to be mighty uncomfortable when she uses their restroom. If I were her, I’d try to make it as uncomfortable as possible for them.

Or else she decided that’s not the hill she wants to die on, metaphorically speaking. Also:

I’m guessing that the first time she uses the men’s room, they’ll raise a stink about that. It reminds me of the BLM/George Floyd protests.

Republicans, to Black people: “Why can’t you people protest peacefully?”

Black NFL players start taking a knee during the National Anthem.

Republicans: “No, not like that!”

McBride, responding (hypothetically): “I don’t know what they’re complaining about - there’s so little to see in there.”

Le sigh…

He took Trump and Trump’s daughter lust to an extreme. What a cult!

The second link contains the longer story from the daughter’s POV of what happened.

I’m not sure it makes it “better” to note that the daughter is 22 except in the sense that “incestuous rapist” is somehow “better” than “incestuous rapist pedophile”.

Either way, as a dad with two daughters that story made me literally sick to my stomach.

The North Carolina legislature just passed a law titled “Disaster Relief 3/Budget/Various Law Changes”. Among the “Various Law Changes” are the following:

  • Give incoming State Auditor Dave Boliek, a Republican, power to appoint members to the State Board of Elections, taking all appointments from the governor.
  • Ban incoming Attorney General Jeff Jackson, a Democrat, from taking any position on state laws in court that is inconsistent with one taken by the General Assembly.
  • Prevent incoming State Superintendent of Public Instruction Mo Green, a Democrat, from appealing decisions made by the N.C. Charter School Review Board.

The mostly Republican NC legislature has also been doing their best to strip the Democratic Governor from exercising any power.

I mean, all of that seems pretty smart, if you’re a Republican.

This is why I keep saying the lame duck period in US elections needs to be done away with. This kind of sore-loser legislation has become standard among Republicans.

Watch him try to use “it’s in the Bible so it’s allowed.” As his defense… re.: Gen. 19.31:38…

This isn’t even lame-duck actions. Even before the election the legislature has been overriding Gov Cooper’s vetoes of bills regarding school vouchers for private schools, immigration enforcement, and other things to promote the Republican agenda.

Although, as @Love_Rhombus said, I guess this isn’t really a “Stupid Republican idea”. Maybe be should start a thread on “Annoying Republican ideas”.

That would be “All of them.”

Yep.

But it is a problem that some GOP ideas are all-too-likely to succeed in undermining our republic. How about a thread for likely-to-help-Republicans-end-democracy ideas called “Repressive Republican Idea of the Day”?

Remember, they were protesting peacefully. The rioters were mostly from right-wing groups like the Hell’s Angels, the Proud Boys, and the various police departments.

“Democracy-Ending Idea of the Day” would work, too.

We already have the evil Republican thread.
