Two things. First, what is a bewdy? Second I had a weird thought last night: assume that Trump isn’t able to enact all of the 2025 policies that he wants-he drops dead, or something.

The alarm bell has been so loudly (and correctly) rung that if any of it doesn’t happen and the next four years are chaotic but not cataclysmic, when we he next proto-Trump arises, no one will believe it and will accuse the left of crying wolf-much the same way people have done with Trump 1 vs. Trump 2: The Search For More Money.

@Love_Rhombus, ‘gotcha a bewdy’ is I guess an Australianism, mainly found in use amongst adolescents who play a prank upon an unsuspecting friend. Generally harmless, but at the same time, extremely annoying to the victim of said prank. Literally translated, “I managed to play a trick on you, and you fell for it, and it was beautiful to watch”.
