“It is imperative that we provide President Trump with every resource necessary to correct the disastrous course set by the Biden administration,”
Mississippi has proposed legislation that would incentivize bounty hunters: $1,000 for help in the arrest and deportation of undocumented immigrants:
According to the news release, the proposed legislation would “offer a $1,000 reward to registered bounty hunters for each successful deportation they help facilitate.” The funds would come from the general assembly for the state treasurer to administer, and it would go into effect July 1, 2025.

I ask you: what could possibly go wrong?
“Y’all look Mexican, where your papers at?!”
“Papers…? What papers? I’m from Connecticut.”
“Yeah, sure, likely story. Okay fella, git in the back of my truck afore I shootcha.”
Basically, yes. Marco Rubio is on top of the need to corral all those non-conforming people: you SHALL conform!!!
Interesting. Talk about regression. When I was a kid (1950s) this was the official position of the Catholic Church. Every deliberate, intentional ejaculation had to have pregnancy as a possible outcome. Therefore it had to be into the vagina of the man’s fertile wife. Spontaneous nocturnal emissions were exempted, but boys were encouraged to sleep with their hands outside the bedcovers. So choking the chicken was definitely a mortal sin (punishable by hellfire). I knew a Catholic couple who were such strict constructionists that they would indulge in fellatio, but would not permit the husband to come in his wife’s mouth. I’m not makin’ this stuff up.
It’s worth mentioning that an ovum is made of genetic material, too. So I guess menstruation would also be illegal (and possession of tampons a paraphernalia-related infraction).
Well, sure - outlawing and punishing women is part of the plan. It’s all the fault of women. Cruelty is the point!

Hmm. Sounds a little Der_Trihs-y, but it’s so plausible that I’m not going to quibble.
Stay safe.

It is, because 1) the legislator that proposed the “Contraception Begins at Erection Act” is a Democrat, and 2) it’s a virtual certainty that he’s trolling Republicans.
No, menstruation is involuntary. And it’s only the sperm that’s important-- the sperm gits 'er done! The ovum by itself doesn’t matter. The unfertilized ovum is like the wallflower at a dance, like the old spinster that no one ever chose for marriage. That’s why the body spontaneously discards them if no sperm has made contact.
spontaneously
Periodically.

I really do wonder how many of the people commenting on this completely missed that.
Especially given that I made note of it in the post itself.
The thing is, this seems like something that a Republican would propose. As has been noted many times on this board, it’s getting hard to distinguish The Onion headlines from real ones.
Is there a MAGA version of Poe’s Law?
Without a winking smiley or other blatant display of humor, it is utterly impossible to parody a Creationist MAGA in such a way that someone won’t mistake for the genuine article.

AIUI, the proposed bill forbids any genetic material discharge that occurs without a specific intent; the wording does not state that there must be an alternate intent. Ergo, a discharge with no intent at all falls under the prohibition.
Yoink
Where’s that damn like button?
