NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 3)

Yes, I didn’t like the initial premise of Idiocracy because it did seem to play into bigoted folk wisdom that the “wrong people” are having too many children. But they needed some kind of set up for the movie, and at that time it was hard to imagine the kind of wilfull ignorance that social media and outrage-driven “news” would bring.

The thing I like to say with Idiocracy is that, in terms of leaders, reality is much, much worse than Idiocracy. No hyperbole.
Camacho acknowledged actual problems, had the best interests of his people at heart and tried to find experts to help him solve the problems. There’s no comparison.

(sorry for the slight tangent)

He also thought outside the box and pulled in a convicted felon who had a genius IQ to advise him. Real “I’d have a beer with that guy” energy.

Brought to you by Carl’s Jr.

Well, that kind of “thinking outside of the box” could be argued – even by people opposed to MAGA – as what Trump does and is. I want to be back in the box.

It’s a pity neither Trump or Musk have any facial hair, or I’d have an excellent explanation for what’s going on in the USA: it’s a magic mustache and we’re all under its spell.

In Trump’s case it’s a litter box.

It just means he’s pooping all over the floor.

No sing? No money! Simple, huh?

It’s an unfunded mandate!

I’d play either Jimi Hendrix or Rosanne Barr’s version. Only.

Why do you hate children?

I’m a little surprised Republicans haven’t banned the Star Spangled Banner, since it glamorizes resistance to a tyrannical government.

And it acknowledges Spanish-speaking immigrants. “Jose, can you see…”

“But it’s not talking about our tyrannical government!”

I’m surprised they aren’t requiring “Dixie.”

Give it a while and it’ll be Horst Wessel.

Here’s a twofer. Steve Bannon doing the Nazi salute and Kanye whining about not being allowed to do it himself.

Edit: It’s a three-fer, they’re also lying about lowering egg prices.

She is far outmatched in her bj-ery by Howard Lutnick. Get a load of his hymn of praise to the Dear Leader during his swearing-in. “Your flag” indeed:

(38-second video.)

Kevin “Mr. Wonderful” O’Leary was pontificating on CNN about Elon Musk cutting government departments blindly, and he said they should cut another 20% more. His claim was that when businesses are failing and get bought out, they go through and cut cut cut personnel, and the companies end up better for it. It works out.

This is incredibly tone deaf - it misses that corporate bigwigs merging/buying out companies in order to downsize them are already a trope for the bad guys in movies.

It isn’t applicable because making any change is likely to improve a failing business, and the US was not failing (though it soon will be).

And it ignores that that is exactly the process that took Boeing from one of the most safety conscious corporations in the world to having airplanes fall out of the sky.

McDonnell Douglas bought Boeing and canned all the Boeing execs with the Boeing culture. This is the trigger point for Boeing’s woes. Burying the software change in the 787 max autopilot to save money on training pilots and recertification costs was directly counter to the way the old Boeing would have worked.

Shitcanning the people who know what they are doing may eventually lead to a failing business getting better, but only once the new people learn how to do it or hire people who do.

I can see why he’s the least favorite Shark on Shark Tank.

Well, that, and cut, cut, cut worked so well for K-Mart, Sears, GE, Circuit City, etc.

It’s almost like massive cutting without any planning or strategy is a sign the people at the top don’t know what they’re doing…

Are you sure you have the correct side, there?

Maga CEO: The government spends too much money and that’s why we need Elon Musk to cut spending by $2 trillion
The same maga CEO: Let’s give everyone $5,000

Anything I might get from President Musk and Shadow Puppet Trump would be split equally between Planned Parenthood and the local YWCA womens’ shelter.
