Hand it over “in two weeks.”
By peeking through the stall door’s joints, duh.

If you’re a transgender man with a beard and no breasts (and maybe even a penis), and you walk into a woman’s restroom, the women in there are going to think you’re a pervert, when, in fact, you would be following the law.
I think women (trans or not - who’s gonna know?) should just start barging into the men’s rooms in the statehouse, and watch the male legislators freak the fuck out because there’s a woman in there.
That would require more of a spine than I give most Democrats credit for possessing.
Nevertheless, we should pass along that suggestion to AOC. She would do it.
Years ago, I was at a concert (White River Amphitheatre) right outside of town here, and the men’s room is a huge open place where you piss into troughs (in a walled room, mind you, I don’t mean it’s outdoors or anything). I was in there taking a leak (and a bunch of other guys were too), and two drunk women came in, walking around, laughing, and ogling guys, before getting into a wait for stalls. I guess there was a line at the women’s room and they were tired of waiting.
At first I was freaked out, and self-conscious, then I thought, why the fuck should I care. If they want to get a glimpse of my junk, go for it. Whatever. I finished my business, washed my hands, and left.
I actually surprised myself in that moment. I never thought I’d be able to deal with that situation without panicking. But in the moment, I just thought it was funny, and it didn’t really bother me. I told my wife later and she thought it was funny as well. Maybe the fact that I was in a room with a bunch of other guys helped.
I think it might also help that unlike most Republican politicians, I’m confident with my sexuality.
It’s mostly political theater, of course.
But also, they seriously believe they can just tell by looking.
Looking for rational thought or consistency from that crowd is an exercise in futility. And that way also lies madness
One of the early episodes of All In The Family had Archie trying to prank his friend with a transvestite in a bar. The friend recognized the transvestite. At one point, she had to go pee and was going towards the Ladies’ room. He says “How are you going to do that?” Her reply was “Sitting down.” This is all from memory, so I may have some of the details wrong. My point - this was 1970s, and the outrage wasn’t there.
Yeah, this is un-knowable and un-enforceable. What I’m worried about - what happens if a female assigned at birth has some masculine features, and MAGAKaren gets her panties in a bunch and starts accusing. Number 1, how do you prove it? Number 2, how much humiliation has this person just gone through? And this is not an outrageous scenario. Remember that Arizona woman who has made a career out of playing softball against a transwoman - turns out it was an accusation based on masculine features.
It’s already happening in my neighborhood.
Sorry for the FB pic, but it’s the only place I’ve seen it.
I was at a concert back in the 1970s, and I had a similar experience. Huge line for the women’s rest room, only a few waiting for stalls in the men’s rest room. A few women came into the men’s rest room and got in line for the stalls. I personally didn’t care and fully understood. I don’t think any of the other men cared either.
Women in the men’s room isn’t what freaks out these people. It’s the idea of a man in the women’s room that frightens them.
Of course. But it means every transgender person can now be arrested for something.
For concreteness, let’s imagine somebody born w male body now living female. That person lives and presents female. Under this cockamamie law she commits a crime by entering a women’s bathroom. Imagine being that person and knowing you can be arrested any time you pee. And how do they expect to be treated if arrested? Some decent fraction of male-to-female trans folks don’t really look like very convincing females. Those are the ones who’ll get noticed. And arrested. The ones who can really pass for female-bodied are safer. But still not safe.
The terror is the point.
Remember Britney Griner, the basketball player. She had the awful experience of having to show her genitals to prove she was a woman in a public restroom. This was before the more recent moral panic, so yeah, these bills will not make the bathroom’s safe for women, it will make them worse.

Which is exactly what would happen if a transgender man was forced to use the women’s room. He was a female at birth, so he would have to use their bathroom.
“That ‘guy’ sits down to pee!”
It’s all just an excuse to enforce gender norms on everyone. “You’d better man up, or you’ll end up in the camps with the transgender people!”
“Are you listening intently for the subtle splash of turds in the bowl? You’re a prevert!”
Along with cis women who are not sufficiently feminine by whatever arbitrary standards the whacko observer is using.
So just make all restrooms inclusive to all genders, utilize ceiling-to-floor partitions between all stalls, and if you’re a woman, do what men do and don’t peek at a man using the urinals. Why does everything gotta be so goddamn complicated?
What’s next for these loons? Pass a law mandating that every home have separate facilities for males and females?
