NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 4)

Now you tell me.

This. And if the seat looks disgusting, grab some toilet paper as a barrier, then toss it in the bowl before you flush.

From my perspective, my hands are already going to be gross anyway from relieving myself, and touching a seat is not going to be much worse. I was already going to wash my hands.

Well, aren’t we all lah-di-dah around here. Next thing, you’ll tell me we should bathe regularly and avoid eating raw chicken

If the bath is hot enough you can have chicken soup.

Are you crazy? Who knows how many grubby hands have touched that soap dispenser before me.

Wait, what?

There goes this weekend’s plans.

RFK Jr., that you?

Raw chicken is like raw milk only it’s poultry based.

How else are you nancy boys gonna build up immunity to salmonella?

I read somewhere that some of the most sought after patents in the USA were for newfangled toilet designs. God knows what people have been coming up with, but would a foot pedal to raise and lower the seat on public toilets be such a bad idea?

Just everyone sit down. Penis people, non-penis people, other-identifying-people. What even are you doing to get toilet seats so messy?Just. Sit. Down. Then we wouldn’t have to worry about any of this.

Heck, I’d rather wipe up a drop of pee than even think about someone’s shoe having been in the seat. If you wouldn’t sit your naked ass down on the bathroom floor, then don’t put your shoes from that floor onto the seat!

I’m even one more step: in places like, say, restaurants, gas stations, where there are currently uniquely M/F identified bathrooms, just make them both ungendered. A lot of businesses don’t even put urinals in the men’s room, so WTF cares? Just make them both accessible to everyone.

But then, that would cut a major source of RW outrage.

In my workplaces, there are single-occupancy bathrooms that have signs indicating they’re for use by any gender.

Nancy Mace has a chatbot auto-responding to any social media comments with her name and the word “drugs” in them.

She has reportedly been using social media bots for a long time. These articles are from more than 8 months ago.

Some of the former workers alleged to WIRED that the Republican lawmaker would frequently monitor her image on social media, even creating bots to post in support of her.

And her social media obsession is repeated in a recent article.

The natural history museum where I volunteer used the Covid shutdown to convert its two smallest bathrooms to “family bathrooms” by putting locks on the door, the kind that say Occupied when thrown. Being formerly gendered one has two toilets and the other just one and a urinal.

Fucking Republican (didn’t catch who) was saying on CNN that the problem with Democrats dealing with undocumented aliens is that that want to extend Constitutional rights to the “illegal aliens”, but they aren’t citizens, so the Constitution doesn’t apply to them.

Mother-fucking ICEhole, the Constitution applies to the US government. Of course it applies to undocumented aliens. It applies to anyone in this country because it is a limit on government power. It is the document that establishes how the government functions and how it treats people.

Your stupid proposal on interpretation would mean federal agents could kill undocumented aliens instead of detaining and deporting them, without repercussions.

They’ve been told that they have federal immunity.

To all ICE officers: You have federal immunity in the conduct of your duties. Anybody who lays a hand on you or tries to stop you or tries to obstruct you is committing a felony. You have immunity to perform your duties, and no one—no city official, no state official, no illegal alien, no leftist agitator or domestic insurrectionist—can prevent you from fulfilling your legal obligations and duties. The Department of Justice has made clear that if officials cross that line into obstruction, into criminal conspiracy against the United States or against ICE officers, then they will face justice.

Who said that? If it’s anyone connected directly with the current maladministration, well we know their Constitutional scholarship is sketchy at best.

ETA: Didn’t notice the embedded link. DHS, of course.

All hail fatherland.

More precisely, White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller.
