NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 4)

The video is worth watching–Paxton looks and sounds as though he’s jumping out of his skin.

The “explanation” does nothing to explain his lying-on-documents issue or the associated tax issues. But of course the Fox News host was never going to point that out.

“Well, duh, I’m a criminal.”

This post in another thread fits here too:

They (RW nutbags) really really hate reality don’t they?

And of course, when the parents of some cisgirl complain about the new policy, the school board is going to say “It’s not our fault! The evil transsexuals forced us to institute this policy!”.

On the other hand, though, from the article, it sounds like the principal was on the student’s side, so the new rule probably will be enforced as written, forcing more awareness.

That does seem like a reasonable campaign slogan for Paxton.

A House candidate in NC got caught betting on her own campaign.

You must charge us less! We’re the Grifting Old Pedophiles Good of the People party!

Dr. Oz, (you know, the Islamic member of Trump’s cabinet) unveiled his idea to fix this country’s economic woes.

Oz, the administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, connected the dots between improved public health and workforce participation during a White House press conference this week. If Americans could stay healthy enough to work just one additional year beyond the current average retirement age of 61, it would “increase the overall GDP of our nation by trillions of dollars,” he said.

“We will reduce healthcare expenses,” Oz said. “At the same time, we jazz up the U.S. economy with trillions of dollars created by the productivity of American workers.”

Suck it up, buttercups! Put off that retirement you’ve worked for all your life and keep punching that clock.

And yet he’s working to make Americans sicker.

What he means is if people would just work until they died, it would do a lot for our healthcare spending and reduce costs to help the bottom lines for those poor insurance companies

Plus it would be a real boost to America’s glue industry.

Mark my words; they’re thinking of it.

100%.

When you have 80-year-olds digging ditches all day, you end up with a lot of fatal heart attacks. Just what Dr. Oz likes to see!!!

These days, I’m just still a little surprised these folks and their billionaire masters unironically claim Arbeit Macht Frei, though not in that specific manner. I’m more surprised so many of their cultists believe it doesn’t apply to them as well

(Actually quite is from Dr. Oz)

Current average retirement age is 61?

Quite possibly, depending on how you define ‘average’. But that’s a tricky word and even tricker calculation.

Of course, I’m sure he just picked a convenient number and has no idea how it was derived.

The folks who most need to retire and rest and get healthcare are generally the ones who most likely need to keep working anyway for financial reasons.

It’s totally out of touch with the experience of people who actually labor for a living. The people who actually do retire at or before 61 either can’t work anymore even if they wanted or are financially secure and won’t give up a year of retirement

A lot of “retirement” in the Rust Belt is “They closed the plant, I lost my job, I’m unwilling to move, and unwilling to learn a new job skill that pays half what I’m used to, so I’ll just go on SS disability at my current age of 43 or 55 or whatever.”

Once they are no longer seeking work, with no intention ever to do so again, they are by definition, “retired”.

Those folks in their millions are really dragging the “retirement” age down.

Markwayne “Derp” Mullin (R-CTE) has the best words.

People working longer and later into life also means more payroll taxes being paid into the Treasury every year. Which means these tax cuts for the top 1%, that invariably end up being the number one priority for every Republican administration the second they come into office, end up being larger and larger in absolute dollar amounts. (That’s what “increase the overall GDP of our nation by trillions of dollars" is actually getting at. Because there’s no way they would use that money on things like infrastructure or social welfare programs. They view it as their entitlement.)

They are robbing the country blind and expecting the rest of us to work ourselves to death for their benefit.

And of course, right wing voters then wonder why things like roads and bridges continue to deteriorate and farm subsidies are shrinking and disappearing. But, better that I suppose than being asked to treat a trans person, a black person, or an immigrant like a human being.

Let’s talk about meeting Satan!

I’ve posted about this clown before, but I didn’t know at the time he was literally phoning in whatever it is he claims to be doing.
