You’d think that JUST having been caught (in November 2023) would have made RFK Jr. less likely to flat-out lie mere weeks later (in December).
But apparently his arrogance is such that he learned no such lesson. (In the November encounter, of course, the host did NOT have the clip proving the lie ready to hand. By December the CNN people had figured out they should have it queued up–because he was going to lie.)
Of course Jesse Watters has noticed this too. I don’t know what we’re supposed to take away from this other than the confirmation that these guys are seriously creepy.
Just noting that I finally saw the video that this meme comes from, and now I can fully appreciate it. I would post a link to it for other semi-confused folks, but I don’t remember where I saw it.
I assume that Trevor Lee would agree with the other two people with regards to NYC. Meanwhile look at the typo in the “Learing Center”. They clearly asked the AI to print out “Leering Center”.
It’s worth pointing out to folks who’re not familiar with the details of Texas government that the Texas Railroad Commission is misnamed and does lots else than railroads. The lede in this preview pretty well tells the tale.
In short, they regulate the operation and safety of Texas’s largest and most important industries. Which are inherently dirty polluting industries too. Giving them vast power, vast scope for graft, and zero accountability.
So a natural place to want a raging violent Fascist in charge.
Bo French, Republican candidate for the Texas Railroad Commissioner (which is a powerful position in Texas), made a racist Twitter post showing South Asian students in the stands at a University of Texas-Austin football game celebrating a win against Ohio State. The suggestion is that whites are being replaced by brown and black people. Never mind that the students shown are wearing Longhorn shirts and cowboy hats and are making the “Hook 'em Horns” sign. In other words, the kids are enveloped in the local culture.
I read that Bo French defended his racism by talking about how the black and brown kids aren’t “assimilating.” What do you call it when they’re at a Longhorns game dressed like everyone else and celebrating the win?
